This book is not a "book". That is, A book usually refers to some sort of fiction or non-fiction story, merely retelling events for the sake of recollection. No. This book.. will never be just a story, never be just a book. It is a statement.
This book is a statement that mankind does not have to live in shame, pain and meaninglessness.
It is a statement that every person on this planet is not a collection of chemicals that is born, to do meaningless work, and then to die;
But that every person, you, and I, and all your friends and family, and every one of the thousands of people we will all walk or drive by without ever giving them a second thought, every single one of us has their own story, their own life that is full to the brim and overflowing of meaning, even after they die.It is a statement, that even though the world will tell us that:
-Depression in some people is an irreversible medical condition
-You are born to make money, buy things and have kids, only for them to have the same exact meaninglessness in life
-Your mistakes are permanentWe have tested and seen that in our God,
-Depression is curable, because anyone who has fought depression can tell you that it is darkness. Darkness must cease to exist when exposed to Light. We have seen such a great Love, such a great Light that the Darkness of Depression is eradicated on the spot by our God, whose name is Jesus.
-We are all born to have a relationship with the Living God who created us in love, to praise Him and experience His joy, to show His love to a hurting world, and to live even after we die, so that we might laugh and mock the most primal fear of humanity, death herself.
-Our mistakes are nothing more than little strokes of ink to a God who didn't even need a pen to write in the universe.These may be stories, but they are more. Whether the story is about a lost man on the brink of death who finds hope in something bigger than himself, or a person who goes farther than anyone ever believed they could because they were not alone, or a teenage girl who finds that she is more than what her "friends" think of her, these stories comprise a statement.
What statement?That there is a God that is bigger than our problems.
That in this terrible terrifying world of war, hate, negligence, ignorance, anger, pain, selfishness, greed, poverty and starvation, we are still more than conquerors.
That our imperfect, weak human selves do in fact have meaning in the eyes of a Perfect, Powerful Deity.
That knowing God on a personal level is worth being different, worth being "strange", worth the risk of trusting an invisible God, who we cannot see or hear, with every single problem and every skeleton in our large haunted closets, is the necessary requirement for a fixed world.
That there is meaning enough to fill the hole of shame, healing enough to fill the hole of pain, and love enough to fill every hold that fear has on the lives of every individual in this cruel, fearful world. That is the statement that we want to make, and let every devil tremble at the thought of it.
And we are not ashamed of our stories that comprise this statement. We are not embarrased by our past, nor will we allow ourselves to be chained by our fears and insecurities, when our God has told each of us that we have nothing to fear.
This statement, if such a thing will exist, must be made by people around the world. It must be all-inclusive, every true story that shows the truth that God is the Lover,Fighter,Healer,Leader and Shepherd that everyone in this world needs is necessary to even assume to make a statement as bold as ours.
