Changing.

Jim's POV.

We just killed Bular, well I thought I killed him the first time- but he wasn't fully dead so Aaarrrgghh finished him off. Leac isn't with us- strange... We walked home and I saw Leac speaking with my mom.

"... so if he ever takes you somewhere, don't take your eyes off your drink. And if he offers you a drink or handles it before you- don't drink it..." I heard her say.

"Who you talking about?" I asked Leac, she acts strange around my mom...

"No one. Don't worry." She said, not even glancing my way or anything. "Jim. I will be heading home now. Goodnight."

"Oh! Goodnight?" I said. I whispered strange sentences under my breathe. Mostly about what Leac has been hiding and stuff.

"Jim? Are you alright?" Mom called through my door.

"Yea... Just fine." I replied. She walked downstairs. I knew that Mr. Stickler wouldn't show his face around town anymore. So at least I didn't need to worry about him and mom. I looked out my window and saw Toby talking to Aaarrrgghh. I looked at the street below them to see Leac running to their house. "What are you doing Leac?" I whispered.

Leac's POV.

I had a feeling. I needed to be over at Toby's house since the portal is there. I knocked on his door.

"Oh hello there sweetie. What brings a young lady like yourself here?" Asked his parental guardian, Nana.

"Oh... Um actually I need to see Toby. He's here, right?" I asked her politely.

"Oh yes he is. He's in his room upstairs." She said kindly, letting me in and closing the door.

"Thank you." I said, smiling at her.

"No problem sweetie. What's your name by the way?" She asked me, smiling with her eyes closed.

"Leac. Leac Walsh." I smiled back, then went upstairs. "Toby! Where's the portal?!" I asked him.

"Right here." Aaarrrgghh pointed at the portal on the dresser. I grabbed it and say on the floor. I set it in front of me and held my hands above it and chanted a spell.

"aistriú thy ision isteach thy tairseach."(transfer thy vision into thy portal. A/N: more or less. That's what I typed in and that's what came.) I chanted while my hands lowed green like that portal- which slowly turned blue.

"What's happening?" Toby asked, looking over my shoulder.

"Watch." We then saw Chompsky, he was climbing up the rocks.

"Chompsky?! He's alive?!" Toby said.

"I had a feeling I was going to have a vision from the darklands. So I rushed over so I could chant it onto the portal to show you- he found the nursery!" I screamed, surprised the little gnome made it that far.

"He is definitely something. I had no idea he'd survive that long. Let's hope he can get back safely." I said, looking at Toby, in the eyes for the first time since I came in.

"Woah... Your eyes are gold..." He said.

"They are? Must've been the vision. I guess I never realized they turn gold after the visions." I said looking away from his gaze. "I... um... better get home." I said walking out the door. I got home fast to see...

"Hello Leac." Mr. Stickler said.

"What do you want? You shouldn't be here. Bular is dead and the bridge is destroyed. You should leave town. Now." I said calmly.

"Now Leac. Mr. Stickler and I are friends. He's allowed into my home. So go to your room if it bothers you that much." Sarah said back. I sighed and left. She was acting- she can fool anyone except me.

Jim's POV.

I saw Leac go back home- I looked through the living room window to see Mr. Stickler in her house. Talking to Sarah. What do I do? Ignore it and ask about it later, or get Blinky and bring him here? I heard my phone ring so I rushed to it.

"Hello?"

"Hey, it's Leac. Don't worry about Mr. Stickler being in my house. He's speaking with Sarah about some trip he's taking with some friends." She started. Then she whispered low so they couldn't hear. "Sarah will tell us the rest later"

"Alright. I'll see you at school tomorrow?"

"Yup. And go easy on your mom, okay? She loves you and will worry for you- but you should trust her with guys- and the whole trollhunter thing."

"Yea whatever. Bye."

"Bye Jim Lake. I'll see you when I get back." She muttered. Then hung up before I could question it.

"What does she mean?" I whispered.

Leac POV.

I have to leave. Father asked me to fetch the royal opal and ruby- he teleported them to somewhere safe so Vendel wouldn't know about the gifts. I had to take one person or thing with me. I'm taking Mace.

"Ready?" Mace asked me, getting ready to fly off from the backyard. I finished the note I made for Sarah, Toby and Jim.

"Yea..." I trailed off looking at Toby's house then Jim's. "Be safe..." I whispered, putting the notes on the counter by the back door.

"Your mate will be awaiting our return. Jim will be happy to see you~" he tried to tease me.

"Jim isn't my mate. I know who my real mate is. He is the one I have found worthy- but I must make sure Jim isn't worthy before I give the gifts to my mate." I said- smacking the back of his head. We took off soon after.

"Fine. You can never take jokes. No wonder why your father kept you inside the stone for so long." He muttered.

"What do you mean?" I asked him through the air.

"You were supposed to be released from the stone when your mate turned ten. Or when the Trollhunter got the amulet." He said louder.

"Im here now. So stop with this nonsense. How have you and Tye been since I was gone?" I asked him.

"He allowed a witch between us! Although she acts as though she's queen of all." He mumbled angrily.

"Yeah. She's a witch." I muttered back.

"Alright. There's the temple of that one dead dude- the one that makes enchantments or something." Mace said, looking at the temple. I realised we are far from California- and that we took two days. Were we really only talking about this?

"Were we just talking about Tye and you- the gifts and some other stuff for two days?" I asked.

"No, you took a nap through a whole day- then you talked about other stuff." Mace shrugged.

"I hate you at times." I said serious with a straight face.

"Nah, you love meh." Mace said childishly. We then reached a temple. When I entered, I was thrown back by a large hand.

Leac: I'll tell you what I think! What the hell just hit me?!😡

Me: oh ummmm... I don't know.(whistles)

Jim: I personally like the book so far.

Toby: I do too! But seriously, what just hit Leac?

Me: it's a surprise! Don't be mad at me!😭 I don't feel good and I've been working on this for like- 2 days!😭
