Chapter 11: Just Like The Beginning

"Taehyung?"

You looked at him in shock. You didn't know how to feel, with all those emotions jammed into you, you felt like you were about to explode. Unable to hold it in any longer, you march up to Taehyung and as if your feelings were finally able to burst out, you brought your hand up and struck it heavily across his face.

And there was silence.

Breathing heavily, you let your hand fall to your side, you bit your lip as you look up into Taehyung's eyes, it was wide, its pupils shaking. "Taehyung mia-"

You gasp as he leaps off the tree and wraps his arms around you, you close your eyes and let the warmth engulf you."Jagiya." He whispered as he squeezed you tighter. "Miane, miane."

You smiled, a tear trickled down your cheek. Quickly, you wiped it away gently and whacked him on the head, "Since when have you gotten so...Emotional."

He looked at you and laughed. "Says the one who cried." He winked and stuck his tongue out.

"Haha, yeah, I do wonder who cried." You glare at him and let out a chuckle.

You laugh in joy as he sprints towards you. Switching to a run, you dash through the field of green, glancing back once in a while.

You felt the damp air as you neared the lake. The watery substance mixed with your sweat as you run past.

Smiling uncontrollably, you began to slow down your pace as the lake came right into view.

Just as your were about to stop, your foot slipped and you glanced back to see the still waters welcoming you with open arms.

You screamed as you fell backwards, you stretched your hand forward as if to grab onto something, but instead your fingers wrapped around thin air. You look up helplessly as you tumble backwards, squeezing your eyes shut.

Suddenly, you felt something wrap around your back, holding you softly but firmly.

You steadied your breath. It's ok, I'm ok.

Slowly you open your eyes, first the world blurred around you, then your eyes met his.

For a moment, all you could do was lay there and stare into his angelic face in absolute wonder. 

Was it even possible for someone like this to exist?

He smiled at you, not in his usual way, but a lonely, distant smile. You looked at him in surprise, "Taehyung ah? What's wrong."

His eyes looked away quickly, you could've sworn you saw a second of sorrow flicker in his eyes.

Before you could speak another would, Taehyung flung you back onto the grassy surface. You looked at him immediately. He was now by the lakeside, dipping his feet into the glassy waters as he looked into the sky, his mind elsewhere.
