Daryl's POV

Easy street...we'll be living on easy street...

Easy street...

My eyes darted open and I gasped, sucking in a breath as I looked around me, seeing my surroundings.

Safe. I was safe.

There was no man looming above me, dragging me up.

No dogfood sandwiches.

Carl stood a few feet away, reloding a new found pistol he must've found.

He looked over at me and I pushed the blankets off me as I grabbed the same shirt as yesterday and pulled it on.

"Where's Rick...and everybody else?" I asked him as I looked back up at him.

He looked at the window "outside with that girl drawing a map of Negan's compound" he said.

I nodded and got up, pulling my boots on and grabbed the leather jacket that was laid on the chair beside my bed.

"I'm headed out" I said.

"Why did you bring her...that girl..." Carl asked as he looked over at me "just because she saved you doesn't mean she can be trusted..."

I looked at him for a moment "Has she proven otherwise at all" I said in return as I started my way outside.

The sun was shining bright and the heat was fading from the air as winter was coming.

I looked arond and I spotted Rick and most of the others on the porch of the mansion.

Along with Dahlia.

She looked like a completely different person, no longer in her dress and heels.

But her tight clothing and weapons strapped in every place.

I could hear them talking and everyone looked to me as I walked up the steps.

Dahlia looked at me and I looked at her for only a second as I turned my attention back to Rick.

Rick nodded at me "It's good you showed up, we figured you could use some sleeping in" he said

I nodded my head and looked at the large paper on the table that Dahlia stood over with a pen in her hand, deep in thought and she continued to write.

Her chocolate curls cascaded down her chest and sides, the sunlight hitting her made her glow unnaturally.

Even someone like me couldn't deny her beauty. She was like an angel from heaven with her glowing smooth skin, her smooth wavy hair, her hazel eyes that pierced your soul like a sharp knife, she had the perfect curves.

She looked up at me from her table and caught me staring and I was quick to look away.

What the fuck was I thinking staring at her like that

"I've sketched out the inside as well as I could, and the outside...though I never got to go outside much" she said as she ran her fingers through her hair gently.

Rick nodded and looked over at me "Daryl, could you say more about the outside?"

I stepped up and Dahlia handed me the pencil and took a step back as I took her place at the table and started drawing some things out that she had left out.
