She wasn't sure how she was going to approach this. It's not like she could knock on their front door all bloody and bruised and expect them to turn a blind eye, no, she didn't want their attention she just needed a way to sneak in. The study was on a higher level and she very much doubted that she would be able to climb onto the balcony like she usually would do. She needed another way in.

Staggering across the yard she went around the back of the house, she tried pulling open the back door but it was locked. With a huff she peaked through the window, her face pressed against the glass. The room was dark and nobody was in there but she could spot many different silhouettes of objects, was it the kitchen or dining room she wasn't sure but she inhaled sharply when she felt the window budge slightly. Pulling her face away she carefully gripped the bottom of the window and pulled it up. She wasn't sure if she should be surprised or not that no alarms went off and couldn't help but weakly roll her eyes. They really need to improve their security.

The moon brought in a little bit of light for her to see but she was starting to feel dizzy again. Climbing through the window her body made contact with the counter. She tried to stand up to her full height but a wave of nausea hit her unexpectedly and she lost her balance.

Everything happened so fast and before she realized it she was on the floor with pots and pans crashing down with her. The fall knocked the breath out of her lungs and she gasped desperately. Her body burned, her muscles ached and the pain from her shoulder shot up. She was going to die on a kitchen floor in the home of a billionaire. Her eyes clouded with tears and she tried to shake them away, desperately trying to hold in her sobs. She felt like she was dying.

.....

In the study Bruce sat behind his desk as he watched the secret entrance close back into the fireplace. He paid no attention to Alfred who shuffled behind him, placing the remote back in its secret spot inside a book. He was still unsuccessful at finding any trace of Selina's whereabouts and each passing day made him more and more anxious. He stopped training altogether and focused more on finding her. He even used his fathers computer to see if there was any file on her. He found nothing, It was like she never existed. "Maybe you should get some rest eh." Alfred commented. The longer she was missing the more guilty he felt. He found it difficult to sleep, every time he closed his eyes he would see a broken image of her. The look of disappointment and despair in her eyes. This was his fault.

"Master Bruce." Alfred echoed and he blinked. Finally addressing the concerned butler before him. Zoning out was becoming more of a habit.

"I'm fine Alfred." The older man huffed and shook his head in defeat. He was barely sleeping and eating, he'd never seen the boy so concerned. He was about to comment on his health and what good he was to Selina if he starved. But he paused, slowly turning his head to the side he gazed out into the hallway and waited. Low rustling could be heard down the hall before it suddenly stopped. A sharp clash of metal cut through the air and the two bolted up. Bruce made a move to go but Alfred ushered him to stay, tiptoeing out the room he made a slow approach towards the kitchen.

The door was half open but he could see nothing but darkness, reaching for the light switch the room flooded with light. Everything seemed fine, nothing was broken and everything was how it was supposed to be. He was about to leave when a low whistle reached his ears. A cold draft blew by him and he couldn't help but shiver. Glancing back he noticed the window half open, with a huff he moved around kitchen.

The latch was stiff and he fought to close it. When he finally did he stepped on some glass, staring at it confused his eyes followed the path of glass and stopped when he saw a snowy boot.

What he saw before him couldn't be described with words. She lay there still, pale from head to toe, he noted the pool of blood that was still flowing from her. Her lips were blue, snow was caught in her hair and lashes, spots of dried up blood covered her. She was completely unrecognizable. Rushing to her side he attempted to wake her. "Miss Kyle. Selina!"
