Your POV

I walk away from them and go inside the house, only to go back outside through the back. I go around the house and see the figures still crouched behind the fence. I swiftly and quietly start creeping up towards them.

As soon as I got close enough I saw one of the figures stepping forward, getting ready to scare Aphmau. But right before they could, I already smacked their heads and grabbed their wrists. Before the other three could escape, I tripped their feet, making them stumble. I roughly pushed the other guy who was about to scare Aphmau on top of the others. They all groaned and looked at me. It was then I noticed the ninja costumes they were wearing.

"What the fudge, you guys?!" I demand at Travis, Dante, Laurence and Garroth, making them flinch. Dante suddenly got up and kept looking at me.

"Let us explain." He said. I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow. He sighed and turned to Laurence.

"Laurence?" Dante asks, earning a glare from Laurence.

"Well? Are one of you gonna explain why you were scaring Aphmau to death or am I gonna have to make you?" I threaten. Immediately they all were apologizing and begging for mercy. I roll my eyes and drag them to their feet to where Aaron was sitting, talking with a mummified Zane. Once he caught sight of me and the guys, he raised his eyebrow in amusement, as well as Zane.

"Um, hey (Y/N)?" Zane asks, thoroughly confused as to what is happening. "As much as I enjoy this sight, gonna tell me why you're dragging my brother and his friends around?"

I lurched the guys forward, making them stumble a little. Aaron still looked confused.

"Wanna tell them? Or do you want me to?" I spit at the guys. They looked down, avoiding eye contact with any of us. I sigh annoyingly.

"These ninjas were the ones sneaking around to scare your girlfriend and your best friend." I say. Aaron immediately narrowed his eyes at the guys, while Zane glares at them.

"Seriously? Why? Care to explain?" Aaron asks. Laurence looks up at him.

"Listen Aaron, we're not the only ones who were scaring her! We were going against Ivan to see who can make Aphmau scream the loudest and if we win Ivan and his friends will leave the party!" Laurence explains, catching his breath after his rant. Aaron's face remains unamused but then sighs.

"I see. Why didn't you guys tell me?" Aaron asks.

"Because we didn't want anyone else to get involved or to know what we were doing. We didn't want to get the word around to Lucinda." Laurence says guiltily.

Wow. Laurence really does care for Lucinda. The other guys too. That's really sweet, but why does it make me feel jealous inside? I push away the feeling and pay attention to what's going on.

"Well, if you really want to win and scare Aph, here's what you gotta do." Aaron says. We all look at him in shock, but we all leaned in and listened. We all nod in agreement and look around for Aphmau. I soon spot her talking to Marisa and Jacob and show them to the guys. They urge me to go while they're still debating who will tell her "the news". I walk up to Aphmau and put on my best smile.

"Hey Aph! What's going on?" I say, trying to make small talk. She turns towards me and smiles. Marisa and Jacob nod their heads at me as well.

"Not much! Marisa and Jacob were telling me about the surprise they're planning for—" Marisa and nudges her shoulder while Jacob glares at her. "Someone that...um, works at with Marisa! Yeah that's who!"
