Adrenaline. Energy quickly rushed throughout Sebastian's body, moving in sync with his continuous heartbeat. He slowly stood up, facing his attackers with a large smirk as the black fire slowly disappears.
The attacker pulled his weapon out of Corneillia, leaving her in pain and agony, causing her blood to gush out worse than before. He swung it repeatedly before letting it fly once more, this time aimed at Sebastian.
As if awaiting for the blade, Sebastian stood in one place with both hands in his pocket. When the blade was directly in front of his face, Sebastian stepped out of the way, and pulled on the chain, causing the attacker to spring forward.
When the attacker arrived at the destination that Sebastian intended to bring him to, Sebastian tilted his head, making his reed eye visible, due to his hair moving from out the way.
"Please don't kill me," the attacker pleaded.
Sebastian let out a cold breath while slowly gripping the man's neck. He took a look at Corneillia, then back at the attacker in his hands, "You impaled her right?" he asked. The attacker hesitantly nodded, "Do you know how it feels to be impaled?" Sebastian asked.
The attacker began to tremble as Sebastian pulled the chain, causing the blade to come into his hand. Sebastian got ready to impale him, but then the other two vampires interrupted. They both attempted to attack Sebastian on both sides, but they haven't realized that he have already evaded both their attacks.
They ended up kicking each other, making one connect to the nearest wall while the other, landed on the ground. Sebastian walked over to the one on the ground and repeatedly stepped on him, causing his blood to stain the floor.
He glanced over to the other on the wall, and was disappointed seeing him already dead. Sebastian returned his attention to the first person he was dealing with. The attacker attempted to run, but was already impaled in the first few steps.
Sebastian took Corneillia in his arms and slowly walked out of the alley. As he exited the alley, he was surrounded by all the vampires from earlier, plus reinforcement.\
They all came to him at once, but knowing that he couldn't take them all at once, and also acknowledging that Corneillia was still in his hands, he jumped as high as he could, which lead him to a nearby roof.
The vampires behind him began to follow, but the adrenaline inside him, allowed him to outrun them all. Quickly jumping from roof to roof, he headed in the direction of the nearest hospital. The cold air stung his face as he held tightly onto Corneillia's body. The fact that he felt her breathing on his chest, although it was faint, it made him happy to know she's alive.
He jumped off the final building and landed directly in front of the hospital. As the sun crept up the horizon, Sebastian's adrenaline began to fade, and so did the red in his left eye.
He walked slowly to the hospital door, "Please ...... help," he said as he landed face down in the snow, leaving Corneillia's body laying faced down in front of him.
Light beamed into the room, causing a red color to appear inside Corneillia's closed eyelids. She opened her eyes, nearly being blinded by the light. After her eyes adjusted, she began to stare at the white ceiling, but it was not too long before she felt a smooth item in her left hand.
She softly squeezed the item and felt a hard substance within it. Corneillia sat up in the bed that she she have woken up in. Her torso and her back pained her, so she looked at her torso which was wrapped up, in order to to speed up the healing process.
She looked at her left hand, which was holding Sebastian's right hand.
"No matter what we did, you wouldn't let go of his hand," said the nurse as she walked into the room. Her green hair was slightly packed behind her white cap. Her white nurse's uniform fit perfectly on her, showing most of her physical features as she walked across the room.
"Are you two close?" she asked.
Corneillia began to blush, "N....no, I wouldn't say that."
The nurse giggled and instantly got serious as the doctor walked into the room. He held a notepad in his hand and his head was protected by a white cap similar to the nurse's.
"Ummm.... I have something to speak to you about.... It's concerning to your friend," he said with an alerting tone.
Corneillia immediately got worried and asked, "What is it?" she sat higher in the bed, ignoring all pain felt in her torso.
"Well, your friend has ingested some blood from you, which is the blood of a vampire," Corneillia's eyes widened and filled with water, "But for some reason, Sebastian is yet to become a vampire."
Corneillia flashed back to when she saw the blue in Sebastian's left eye become red, "How?" she whispered.
"Sebastian has a...... strange bloodline..... It seems as if earlier in his family, there was a vampire that must have given birth to one of his ancestors. Due to that, black blood cells were already present in his body... they were just inactive."
Corneillia sat, her thoughts distant. She tried her best to process the new information given to her. She glanced over to Sebastian and rubbed his sleeping head with her thumb. He shifted slightly after, so she let go of his hand and rest both her hands in her lap.
"When Sebastian ingested your blood, your cells interacted with Sebastian's, causing them to become immune to the effects of the white blood cells, so you could simply say, your cells fit perfectly with his, causing them to all live in harmony," he continued. He glanced at Corneillia, for confirmation of her understanding the situation.
"There are still large amounts of blood cells that are inactive, so Sebastian will still be unable to use his full potential," he glanced at Sebastian, who was on the urge of waking, so he started to wrap it up.
"Due to the harmonizing of the cells, Sebastian is now know as one of the lucky 12% of hybrids that actually get to live."
Corneillia nodded as she finally began to understand the situation. She took one last glance at Sebastian and smiled.
The doctor began to leave the room and the nurse followed him, "Aren't you going to let her know the..." the nurse asked.
"No, it is unnecessary to give her that information now, let her be happy while it lasts," replied the doctor as he walked away.
Sebastian slowly began to wake and Corneillia had a wide smile on her face, "Good Morning you sleepy head."
On the border between Elqiou City and Kwarington Capital was a forest. The well known vampire slayer, Reinhard, the Wolf Master, was crossing that border. His red hair softly blew in the wind. His sword was tightly kept in it's sheath and his white uniform was spotless as always.
The land was covered in snow, so his footprints were marked in it. Speedily approaching in the distance was a vampire guarding the border, for Elqiou City was known as'The Land of Vampires.'
The vampire approached and half the way, a wolf came out of the blue and began to devour the vampire. Reinhard simply stepped over the vampire's body and further approached the city.
