Chapter 6 - No Plan?

IMPORTANT: Didn't mention this in the last chapter which i should of, but its Kevin's right arm that was bit :P

I slowly opened my eyes, looking around with blurred vision. I could make out trees and grass that moved, why did they move? I groaned, shifting around a little and looking up. My vision started to slowly come back to me and I could see the leaves of trees.

I looked a little to the right and saw Steven, well his shoulders and above. It didn't take me to long after to realise he was carrying me. I moved around, trying to get more comfortable. As I did, my arm touched Steven's chest and I bit my lip, groaning loudly as I tried to hold in a scream.

"Careful, your arm isn't in the best condition right now." I looked up at Steven as he spoke. He still continued to walk, looking at me as he did. How did he not bump into something by now?

"Wh-wha-at?" I looked down at my arm and gasp. "I...wh-wha-at...."

"We had to cut it off, it was either that or we would of had to kill you."

I looked back up at Steven who was looking where he was walking again. "H-how l-lon-ng hav-ve I b-been-n ou-ut?"

"I don't know, almost 3 days I think."

"W-wow...."

"Yeah, Aleks has been very worried about you." I looked behind Steven's arm and saw Eddie carrying Aleks who had fallen asleep. I couldn't help but smile slightly.

"W-wel-ll I p-pro-mise-ed hi-im d-didn-nt I?"

"What?"

"I t-tol-ld hi-m i-it wou-ould b-be o-ok." Steven looked at me a little shocked before chuckling, a small smile on his face. That's the first time I've ever seen anything close to a smile from him. I felt a butterfly feeling in my stomach, sending shivers down my spine. I sighed, smiling slightly again, "I-I alw-ways k-keep-p m-my promi-ises."

"That you do."

After a few hours of walking we had to stop for the night. I had fallen asleep earlier so when I woke up, everyone was asleep. I forced myself out of Steven's lap, pressing my hand against a tree and standing.

I could hear the waterfall nearby so I head towards it, soon finding myself at a lake. I sigh, sitting down at the edge and staring at the sky. This is a pretty place, and I hope it stays that way.

"Hey." I jumped looking back at Steven who was leaning against a tree. "What are you doing up? Its dangerous to be alone." I looked down as he sat next to me.

"I-i know."

"So your out here because?"

I shrug, "i don't know, I heard the w-waterfall." Steven looked at the waterfall and I could see the corner of his lip twitch, but he didn't smile. He was holding it back and it was obvious, why won't he smile?

"I guess it is kinda nice." I turned my attention back to the waterfall, it truly is a beautiful sight. The water that glistened with the moon as the reflection made it sparkle. The stars easily seen in the water. This is the only clean and clear lake I've ever seen, I'd hate to see it ruined.

I looked back to Steven who was watching the waterfall with his usual expressionless face. I couldn't help but frown. I saw him smile a little while ago, why won't he smile now? There's something more to this man, and I was going to find out, by force if I must.

I stared down at the water again. Why was I so curious so...interested in him? I didn't know him, at least personally so why...why did I want to know. Why did I want to know his past, what he's been through...why did I care?

A clicking in my ear brought me out of my mental conversation. I looked to Steven who was looking at me, his hand near my head. "You must of been thinking of something important to be that spaced out."

"I..." I looked back down, "Its n-not that important...don't worry about it."

"hm...alright."

I saw the slight shine of the sun rising in the water as the sky started to become a nice orange colour. I stared up to the rising sun, smiling at the beauty that it came with. Watching the sun rise was one of my favourite things. It could calm me, make me forget about everything that has happened and make me just feel content again.

It was quickly ended with Steven standing and placing a hand on my shoulder. "We better get back to the others before they worry about us." I sighed slightly, nodding and getting up with slight trouble.

We went back to the others and I was quickly hugged tightly by Aleks. "Your ok...your r-really ok."

I smiled, placing my hand on his head, "of course I am, I promised didn't I?" Aleks nods, head still buried in my chest. I chuckled and looked down as Rocky rubbed against my leg, tail wagging as he whined quietly. "I missed you to boy."

"We better get moving, before they find us here" Michael said, packing up some shit. We all nodded and followed him.

I had Rocky's leash wrapped around my wrist as Aleks held my hand. We walked a little further behind the others but I didn't mind.

"D-Does it h-hurt?"

I looked down at Aleks and then at my right shoulder. "A little, but I've felt worse" I lied with a smile. Aleks nodded and looked forward again as he walked. I sighed quietly, this is truly the most painful wound I've had. Well if you don't count emotional.

As we walked something in my head clicked. Where were we going? We can't just be walking around aimlessly could we?

"Can you catch up with Eddie? I need to talk to Steven for a bit." Aleks nodded and let my hand go, walking up to Eddie with a smile.

I walked past the 3 of them and beside Steven, Rocky right beside me.

"Steven, do you have a plan?"

"What?" He looked at me, a little shocked by the question.

"As in, where we're going to go, what we're going to do. Don't tell me you never thought about that."

"Well..." he looked forward again. "I guess not...no"

"Well we have to think of something, we can't walk around with no plan on where to go or what to do. That's what will get us killed."

"I know, I know. Just. Let me think for a while ok."

I sighed slightly slowing my walking down slightly but keeping a foot behind Steven. I stared down at the floor as I walked. This might not end well, for any of us.

New chapter :P I stopped writing through like half of this, watched Saw 2 and went back to it xD distractions man
