CHAPTER 2 PAST

- Marcel/ Harry-

"Hey you! Hey! Hey" A heavy voice interrupts my reading, my head shooting up. Can't they leave me alone for a second?

I look at the brown haired boy for a second and quickly focus back on my history. I just want to finish this chapter even though it's really boring! I mean c'mon it already happened right?

"Hey, a greet would be nice!" He snaps, settling himself next to me. I look back towards him, a smirk is spread across his face as he nudges my shoulder playfully, making me cringe my nose in disgust.

"You're really not greeting me? C'mon don't be such a dork!" He nudges me again, only a bit harder.

"I'm trying to study here Dave!" I say softly, avoiding his eyes. I have to get a good grade for this test, loads of people think that people who look like me always get good grades and are teachers' favorites. Well, let me tell you something; I only have bad grades for history and the teacher also thinks I'm a dork with a less of self esteem. So, I have to get a good grade otherwise she will start complaining towards my mum. And that's no fun.

"Oh don't be so rude! I'm only trying to be nice you know!" A fake laugh leaves his mouth. Sometimes I just have the urge to punch him in the face, but I guess that'll only make it worse. Instead I send him a a quick glare, which disappears from my face as fast as it came.

Dave grabs the apple lying beside my book and takes a bite out of it while smirking, again! "Thanks for the apple! It was very nice talking to you but I have to go already! I'll see you around!" And with that he walks away, leaving me behind. As soon as he's out of sight I grab another apple out of my backpack and take a bite. Let's just say that I kind of learned how to deal with their behavior, they're very predictable.

I read another paragraph and am about to start with the next until the sound of the bell interrupts it.

Here we go! Let's get a good grade.

"Alright, time's up!" Miss James, our history teacher, claps her hands signaling that she wants to have our works. Quickly I go over all my answers while walking towards her desk.

"Hey, don't you have eyes! Look out!" I hear someone say as I bump into that person. I look up, meeting the familiar eyes of Kim who's one of the most irritating persons on this planet.

"Sorry Kim" I say quickly. You don't want to have an argument with her, so the best you can do is say sorry and move on with your life. "Better be, dork!" She tells me, her face full of disgust as she passes me. I seriously don't understand why they're always so disgusted by me...

"Here you go, miss!" I smile politely, laying the paper on the rest of the tests.

"Thank you Marcel!" She says, giving me a fake smile.

I walk out of the classroom, towards the canteen as my mind is wondering what could've gone wrong with that test. It's so hard not to think about it, I really don't understand why some people just don't care!

When I filled my plate with some soup and a sandwich I make my way towards an empty table in the corner of the room and sit down with my back towards the rest of the tables. I just think that the best you can do is avoid everyone the best you can, it makes life a bit easier for me.

Almost the whole time I eat my lunch I can feel someone staring at me. I'm kind of used to it but it's like the eyes never leave me.

I'm not an animal in a freaking zoo!

I look over my shoulder, my eyes almost immediately meeting a pair of golden ones. The dark bond haired girl doesn't look familiar, even though she's sitting at the 'popular table '. Maybe she's new? I've never seen her.

She smiles, her hand giving me a wave. Am I supposed to wave back? No one ever waved at me.

I feel my cheeks starting the heat up and I quickly focus back on my lunch again. No wonder everyone thinks I'm a coward. I'm one! There's finally someone being nice to me and I turn my head away.
