CHAPTER 1

~Stacey~

"Are you ready?" Valerie pops her head in the room, her black hair loosely moving with her.

"Yeah, only my..." quickly I grab the red colored lipstick from the little table and turn my lips into bright red ones. "lipstick" I finish my sentence, smacking with my lips and follow Valerie down the stairs of our flat. the sound of my black pumps, hitting the dark wood echoes through the hallway. Why am I wearing these things again? I can't believe Valerie is doing this to me, normally even the thought of wearing heels makes me nauseous.

"You ladies look hot today!" Nate, my other roommate points out, making Valerie and I twirl around in our dresses.

"You don't look that bad yourself!" Valerie chuckles referring at his white shirt and black jeans. Many girls would describe him as hot, with his dark brown hair styled perfectly and his blue eyes he can get almost every girl he wants. Valerie and I have never seen him as attractive though, he's more like a brother to us now, even though we had our doubts when he moved into our home a year ago...

Let's just say we had to get used to the fact of other girls using the shower.

"Why thank you!" He smirks leading us out of the door and into the cold London air. In opposite of many other people I love the cold and the noisy streets of London, it's so much better than where I lived with my parents. Even though I miss them like crazy, I think I made a good decision to go study in London. I have so much more opportunities here.

"Well, are you girls ready for the best night of your lives?" Nate cheers starting the engine of his car as we step in.

"We'll see about that!" I say.

Ever since our other roommate Tom moved out, Nate has been trying to give us loads of 'best nights of our lives'. Not everyone turned out to be as he planned.

"You think I can't arrange an unforgettable night?"

"Honestly?" Valerie questions.

Nate nods, mentioning for us to keep talking.

"No" I finish.

Valerie and I burst into a fit of laughter when we see Nate's hurt expression.

The funny thing about Nate is that it doesn't matter what he does, he always thinks he's good in it. It's like he doesn't even remember that the last time he actually brought us to a club it turned out to be for only gay people. I'm surely not going to say what happened next.

"Are you sure this is the right place?" I ask Nate when we're standing in a long line in front of a fancy looking club, loud music coming out of the dark building, photographers taking flashing pictures.

"It looks more like one of those clubs only celebs and fancy people are allowed in." Valerie gives me a unsure look. I shrug as I tug at my black dress, feeling totally underdressed.

"No, It's gonna be fun! C'mon!" Nate grabs our hands and leads us to the front of the line.

"What the hell are you doing Nate! We can't do this!" I try to scream above the music when I see a couple of people give me some deathly glares.

"Of course we can!" Nate screams back, making his way to the bodyguard standing in front of the entrance.

"What is he doing?" Valerie whispers in my ear.

"I have no idea!"

Nate doesn't know fancy people, how could he get us into something like this.

I guess I was wrong because before I know it we're inside, both Valerie and I shocked because we even got in.

"You know what I heard?" Valerie questions with an overly excited voice when we walk into the crowded room, filled with lots of people obviously enjoying their night. I shake my head. "Apparently Harry Styles and his friend Nick Grimmshaw are here"

I immediately stop walking, my breath hitching in my troath. "Did you say Harry Styles?" I breath out.

"Yup" She grins.

I haven't seen him in more than 4 years. What if I run into him here. He changed, he probably doesn't even recognize me. What am I to him? Nothing, I'm a part of his past! Something he never talks about. He probably won't talk to me even if he did recognize me.

"Stace? Are you okay?" Valerie's voice snaps me out of my thoughts. I nod, telling her I'm okay. A worried look runs across her face but she covers it up almost immediately and turns it into a excited smile. "C'mon we're gonna have some fun!" She grabs my hand and follows Nate trough the moving and sweaty bodies.

**

"Wanna have another drink?" Valerie asks, pointing at the empty glass in my hand.

"Yeah!" I smile, handing her my glass. She walks away, leaving me behind... alone. Nate disappeared already a while ago after he made out with some random girl. I don't even want to know where he is now. and since it's very hard to start a normal conversation with someone here, it's just Val and I.

I look around a bit, my body moving to the beat of the music.

"Harry and Nick are like really drunk, I just saw Nick kissing a random girl passing by him." I hear a girl shout in an American accent when she passes by.

It's funny how he hated anything that had something to do with alcohol back then.

"Here you go!" I look up finding Valerie with two cocktails in her hand. I mouth a 'thanks' and take one from her. I sip my drink as I let the sound of the bass reach my ears. I always love nights like this, enjoying my night with good people, having a drink, dancing without thinking about what other people think.

Someone else's breath in my neck makes me stop dancing, shivers running down my spine as the breathing increases. "Hello there beautiful" A low voice whispers in my ear, goose bumps forming on my skin. I look at Valerie who's grinning from ear to ear, making me even more curious. Slowly I turn around, my flirtatious smile fading as my eyes widen.

"Marcel?" I ask unsure. Yeah, I've seen pictures of the new him. But this boy in front of me, drunk, wearing an light blue blouse that shows off almost his whole chest, necklaces around his neck and all those tattoos... could that really be him?

I see his mood change completely, a expression full of anger now on his face. "It's Harry now Stacey!" And with that he turns around and walks away, leaving me shocked behind. He remembers me, and as I predicted he clearly doesn't want to talk to me.
