(Zen pov)
It is early morning here in high town, I'm on my way through the busy streets to my academy. The city here is large and held an enormous amount of people.Ever since us humans arrived on this planet over ten generations ago laws have become more tight and people have become more independent.
Our rulers name is G.O.D no one has ever meet this 'god'. They never leave their guarded fortress in high town. So they send out their Angels to do the work for them.
The streets are always busy, flooding with busy people. But not one seems to interact with another, it's as if they don't even exist.
My life is simple and every day is the same. Get up, go to college, meet friends, go home, and go to bed....
It's always the same.At least my life is better than others as I'm a middle class citizen. Some lower class citizens are slaves and are sold against their will to other higher classes. The slave trade is very big in this city and everyone has accepted it.
I personally think slaves should be treated the same as they are people just like us. But everyone else seems to think they are like pets or something...
I sometimes wonder what life is like outside of the large walls that surround the giant city. No one ever goes out as its said to be a waste land full of monsters and evil.
The only ones that stand a chance of knowing are the Angels. They are like our police, they deploy the rules and keep everyone in check.
They will do anything to keep us in control. Everyone says that they are there to keep us safe from the phantom race that lives outside of the walls. As well as Demons who are a rebel band of humans who were said to have sided with the vampires.
They are there to report any magic activity as all magic is illegal and said to be dangerous. They say that magic controls the body and makes you become a demon.
I often ponder about this but when ever I've tried talking about it to someone no one seems to care or understand. It's as if they think I'm crazy to suggest that our rulers are evil... also questioning G.O.D is punishable by death so I have been warned by many adults.
My best friend Evaline is the only one who listens to me. We have known each other for a while now and I like her a lot.

Zen pondered to himself as stared curiously out of the classroom window and at the towering hard wall in the far distance.
His crystal blue eyes gazed as he day dreamed to himself. He brushed his hands through this wavy silver hair as he sat quietly in his class room.
He wore the academy's navy blue smart uniform. With a pair of white fingerless gloves and earphones hanging out of his shirt. As well as a dark blue hoodie under his blazer.
Zen glanced back over to the rest of the class that were all chatting amongst each other.
Most lessons contained students that all had their eyes fixated on the front of the room at the teacher, Like mindless zombies. But his teacher was not here.
Everyone chatted to one another as they waited for their unusually late teacher. All except Zen who remained curiously waiting for the teacher.
All the teachers were well experienced and trained to the highest degree. All would give great punishments to any disobeying students, so they almost never had any students causing trouble.
Zen wondered what was taking the teacher so long. Everything in this world was so perfect that no one was ever late. This made Zen even more curious.
Suddenly the door swung open and a tall male walked quickly in. He had black slick-back hair and nerdy glasses that he constantly adjusted at times. He wore a blue suit as it was the academy's main colour scheme.
Zen watched the adult closely as he didn't seem like the other teachers. He wasn't organized and appeared to be a new teacher or supply teacher.
"I'd like to apologize class, your teacher has become very sick and will be gone for the next two weeks. I am Mr Fenrin I will be covering your lessons until your teacher is back" his voice was slightly nervous and nerdy.
He began to set up his work space before starting the days' lessons. The day dragged on as usual but Zen found the day more interesting as there was a new teacher. Zen smirked slightly at times when Mr Fenrin would get things wrong or drop something. This made Zen feel good as he could have a laugh for once.
The day proceeded and Mr Fenrin tried to manage the class. Once the lesson was over he dismissed the class and he stopped to clean his glasses.
Zen made sure he was the last one out so he pretended to sort out his bag before approaching the new and confused teacher.
"You don't seem to have much experience, are you new?" Zen asked with a friendly smile.
"Oh yes I am not qualified to take on a class by myself, but the gods said it would be best" he said placing back on his glasses and returning the smile.
"Well then I'd like to welcome you to teaching then Mr Fenrin, cool name by the way!" Zen complemented as he placed on his earphones.
Mr Fenrin smiled as he rubbed his head. "Well thank you.. Zen? Wow your name is interesting as well" he said reading quickly off of the register.
"Yeah I was told my parents picked it out for me, I never knew them so I never got to ask why" Zen replied with a reassuring smile.
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't know you lost your parents" he frantically apologized hoping for forgiveness.
"It's fine, like I said I never knew them, it doesn't effect me, so how could I be sad?" Zen said zipping up his hoodie.
"Well I hope you have settled in Mr Fenrin, I'm off home" he continued.
"Oh..Oh yes you have a good day" he stumbled as he waved Zen goodbye.
"You too sir!" Zen called back as he headed out of the room and on back home.
