Arriving home Zen greets his mother happily and sits casually down for lunch she made for him. His mother's eyes glared down at a few cuts that were on his now muddy trousers.

"Honey what happened to your trousers? Their all muddy" she asked as she finished her food.

Zen looked quickly down at them and realized that he had gotten them dirty which was unlike him.

"Oh yeah I fell over, I'm fine mother"  He lied with a smile.

"Are you sure sweet heart, were you doing something you shouldn't have been getting involved with?" She said suspiciously.

"No mother, it's just a scratch I'll be fine" he smiled as he finished the last of his food. He began to head upstairs but came to a stop when he realized he didn't get Seth anything. Seth was already up in his room hiding out as always.

"Hey mother can can I take a bag of crisps?" He asked politely as he stood half way up the stairs. His mother nodded as she sat down on the couch to watch tv.

Zen opened his bedroom door and threw the crisp packet into the dark corner of his room, where he knew Seth was sitting. It was caught in an instant.

"Thanks" Seth said as he faded into shot and began to feast on them.

Zen sat calmly down on his bed and turned in his tv for the news. The screen turned on and was already on the news channel.

"-Breaking news A Diamond has been stolen from G.O.D Headquarters, it is extremely rare and if found report it straight to a Angel or city officer. With a reward of 76,000,000 gold to whoever brings it in-" read the news reporter as it displayed a beautiful gem on the screen.

"-two demons were sighted in mid-town early this week, both are thought to be involved in the stolen Diamond case-" the screen announced as two faces appeared on the screen.

The first one was a male dressed in the demon light armour, which was full black and covered with spikes on the shoulders and gloves. He wore a bandana that had a wolf skeleton patterned onto it that covered his face. His eyes were red and his hair was black. He was a sniper hitman. His name was 'The wolf'

The second Demon was also dressed in light armour, but had more of a dress look to it, her hair was grey and long, her face was covered with a dark mask. She used dark magic. Her name was ' The witch'

Zen's eyes widened as he realised that the gem on screen was the one he found. The one he absorbed.

"With that price everyone is going to be looking for it! With that kind of money anyone could move to high town and be set for life" Zen explained with excitement.

"You do understand that they're not going to actually give that money away right?" Seth said with his hoodie over his face.

"What?" Zen asked confused.

"You see they are not after the diamond itself, it's the powers that were trapped inside it... and as you rightfully remember you absorbed all that power so now the gem is completely useless" Seth explained.

"Can't it be worth some use? Its too bad I can't find it anywhere" Zen said giving his room a quick check over.

"That's because I took it!" Seth said taking the diamond out of his pocket and showing it to Zen.

Zen glared down at it, it was no longer beautiful and shiny, all its colour had been drained out. All that was left was a dark Crystal shaped object that had no value.

"Can't we give this in and say we found it somewhere?" Zen proposed as he tried to reach down for it.

"No don't you see... if you go to a guard or Angel with this they will kill you on the spot to prevent any information leaking also if they see it like that they may even suspect you of absorbing its power and torture you into talking!" Seth said in a slight yell as he snatched the gem away from Zen's reach.

Zen approached Seth calmly as he saw Seth was slightly distressed and chose his words carefully.

"Ok I understand, it's just that I've always wanted something better for my mum, she has always dreamed of living in high town one day... and I... just want to make her happy" Zen said sadly as he sat down next to Seth.

Zen felt Seth's arm stretch across his back as he patted it slowly to comfort him. "I understand buddy" Seth said with a soft and caring smile.

"I'm sorry I get all protective and aggressive sometimes it's just... I've never had a friend before and I don't want to lose you" Seth's voice was soft and thoughtful. They both smiled at each other as it feel silent. When suddenly their silence was broken by the door bell.

They both listened as Zen's mother answered the door. Her voice sounded surprised and happy as she chatted to the visitor. She closed the door behind the guest and let them politely in.

"Zen! Evaline is here!" She called from the bottom of the stairs. In an instant of hearing her name Zen was at his feet.

(Zen pov)
Evan here? Why?
I must not keep her waiting, that would be rude.

(Normal pov)

Seth noticed Zen's spirit suddenly rise. He glared up at Zen as he raised his dark eye brow and asked. "Who's Evaline?"

"Stay in here!" Zen said quickly then smiled shyly down at Seth as he began to make his way quickly to his bedroom door. But before leaving he checked himself out in the mirror and realised his trousers were still super muddy.

He rushed to change them as Seth watched him with a suspicious face from the corner of the room. Zen quickly brushed his hair and headed to the door.

"Hey! Who's Evaline?!" Seth asked again, this time a little louder to make sure Zen heard him.

"Oh no one!" He said quickly as he closed the door behind him.

There was a moment's silence in the bedroom as Seth wondered to himself for a moment.

"No one ay? We'll see about that!" He said quietly to himself as he turned into a black invisible mist and headed downstairs to follow.
