Author's note:
I finally come to this part where Dila will meet one of her favourite singers, or, I shall say her most favourite singer, Shane Filan. I needed to spend weeks calming myself from a rather unhappy feeling because I couldn't attend any of three Shane's shows in Indonesia within these six months. If you're a fan of an artist, I assume you understand what I felt.

By the way, I know that some upcoming events seem impossible to happen in real life, like 'Why the heck would a popular singer travel alone with a stranger?' But we all know that in fanfictions almost everything impossible is possible, even actually the example I mentioned previously is also not totally impossible, right?

Today, Glen would accompany me picking up Shane at the airport. It would only be the two of us, whilst Danny could not come because he had a class today. Since none of us own a car, we use a cab to go to the airport.

Rather unconsciously, I arranged what I would like to say to Shane. Fortunately it was Glen who accompanied me. If it were Danny, he would have ruined my daydream. Actually the two are similar in terms of 'craziness', but Glen is the 'calmer' version of Danny. So, since I needed some time alone to arrange what I wanted to say to Shane, I was very lucky it was Glen. Hehe.

We finally arrived at the airport. After a couple hours of waiting, I heard an announcement that the flight Shane was in had already landed. Then I prepared a piece of paper with his name written on it. Mr Malik told me to only write 'Shane Steven' in case there was any fan of him other than me around. I laughed at this because even 'Shane Steven' was still too obvious if you were a fan. I wished it was a cardboard instead of a piece of paper because then I would write "If you see Shane, can you tell him where I am?" But I was neither a brokenhearted girl waiting for her ex boyfriend on the corner of a street nor a girl who can't be moved, so I just wrote what Mr Malik told me to.

When I saw some passengers coming out, I stood behind a bar whilst Glen stood beside me. I raised the paper on my hand whilst hoping Shane would finally show up.

After a few minutes, I could see a familiar face I usually only watched on YouTube. That face's owner wore a cap on his head, so I guess it was his disguise. But I was too used to seeing Shane's face that he could not disguise his face and appearance from me. I attempted to make him see the paper on my hand by raising it higher, and Glen had gotta be kidding me. He grabbed the paper and raised it higher than I could do. I knew he smiled at me, and I knew I was not so tall as him.

Never mind Glen. It was him being himself.

Then I guessed Shane caught his name on the paper because I could see him walking towards Glen and me, smiling. I smiled at him back, and when he reached us I shook his hand.

"Hi, I'm Dila," said I. "And this is my friend, Glen." Then Glen and Shane shook hands.

"Okay, where are we going now?" Shane asked.

"Right to Mr Malik's house," I said.

"Okay, let's go then," said Shane. I nodded.

I picked my phone from my pocket to check whether Mr Malik texted me, and suddenly, "Don't ever feel worthless, just know that you're perfect." Crap! I accidentally tapped the play button of my Spotify app--I was listening to some music whilst waiting for Shane, and my earphones were no longer plugged in at that time. God... I felt embarrassed.

Glen giggled. Uh! I hated that lad. But, unexpectedly, Shane, who surely noticed that 'incident', smiled at me and said, "Hey, you listen to my music."

"Of course she listens to your music," Glen said.

However, I was curious. Hadn't Mr Malik told him I was his fan? "Hasn't Mr Malik told you something about me?" I asked Shane.

"What?" Shane asked. Surely Mr Malik only told him that I would gladly accompany him, and that's all.

"She loves your music, Shane," explained Glen. "She even told me she had always dreamt to come to your concert when you're in Indonesia, but she hadn't got that chance."

Nice put, bro.

Now I felt even more embarrassed, thanks to that 'narrow valley' lad, who is also known with the name 'Glen'.
