When you both awoke you decided it was time to head back to the lab.
"I actually have no idea what the progress is. I haven't been keeping contact with Alphys." Sans said as we made our way through Waterfall.
"I'm sure everything's going great." I said as I held Sans's hand. A light blue tint appeared on his cheeks(?) and his smile got a little bigger. We reached Hotland and were greeted by a frantic Alphys.
"Sans! (Y/n)! Come quickly!" She raced away and we ran after her. Undyne was in the lab cheering happily.
"Hey punks! Alph and I were able to duplicate (Y/n's) soul substance." The day just got better.
"Wait so you don't have to do any more experiments on me?!" I smiled cheerfully.
"A-as lo-long as this w-works."
"I'll teleport us all to the barrier, just make sure you get the souls." Alph nodded quickly and put the replica souls into glass containers. We arrived in less than a second and everyone but Sans and I clenched their stomachs.
"Hey, you didn't tell us that would make us feel sick...." Undyne said annoyed.
"Whoops." Is all he said. Alphys called Asgore over, and I realized it was the first time I've met him. He looked at me and smiled.
"I appreciate your help (Y/n). Now it is time to see if this will shatter our barrier." His voice was deep and soothing. It kinda reminded you of Sans voice. Alphys freed the souls from their cases and Asgore held them up to the barrier. But nothing happened.
"W-what's happening? Wh-why isn't i-i-it working?!"
"... I was afraid this would happen. The barrier is made of magic. It can detect whether it's fake or real." We all went silent as Sans's words sank in. Asgore held them close trying to absorb them.
"I can't absorb them either." He said quietly. He all bowed our heads, and Sans teleported us back to the lab with the souls back in the cases.
"I guess th-that means w-we ha-ha-have to do more experiments o-on you." I sighed sadly. The experiments hurt. Undyne turned to me
"We'll make sure your put under before we start the extraction. And when it starts to crack we'll stop immediately!"
"D-did i-it even fully he-heal?" Both Sans and I nod our heads. Alphys and Undyne start doing a weird smile and giggle. I don't understand but Sans realizes it immediately.
"Stop that! Nothing like that happened!" His face was the darkest shade of blue.
"Hey blueberry, mind telling me what's going on?" Alph and Undyne start laughing harder.
"Don't worry your innocent little head about it." Undyne said slyly.
"Let's just get the extraction over with." Sans says as he heads towards the elevator. The laughing stops and we head down to the True Lab. I lay on the bed with Sans once again next to me as the others get the tools.
"It's ok sweetie, I'll make sure your ok." He kisses me on my lips and Alph walks in. I look over and pull away.
"OMG!!! I-I knew y-you two were p-perfect t-together!" Sans and I both laugh and he starts rubbing his neck. Undyne comes in with a metal tray and hands it to Alphys.
"Ok, (Y/n) I'm gonna put you under now. Just relax." Alph's tone got serious as she stuck the needle in your arm. Darkness consumed you and you were greeted by a dark figure.
"Hello (Y/n)."
