I immediately bowed. The woman laughed and told me to stand up. I did so but still couldn't speak somehow, I was so enticed by her looks. They were so sharp and she was so beautiful; without her looks it would be hard to believe that Hikaru and Kaoru are her children, I mean they act nothing like her. I can tell she carries herself well.
I'm still amazed when she starts to speak. "I haven't seen you before, which one might you be?" She leans in and her teeth are pearly white. I open my mouth but nothing comes out. The twins put their hands on my back and chuckle, "Mom, this one's Angela." Kaoru explains.
"And this one is Haruhi, we're gonna adopt both of them one day so don't forget." Hikaru explains and I hear the smile in his voice. She nods and as they say nothing else I assume they've been telling her about us since day one.
I mentally shook my head and returned her smile. Right now Yuzuha-san was improving Haruhi's attire. "You two are right, they are such dolls!" she practically squealed. Soon enough she straightened up and clasped her hands together.
"Come one, I would love to meet up with these two young cuties so why don't we all go to one of those commoners' places you two talk about."
"Don't you have another show to put on?" Tamaki asked cautiously. We all looked at her as she places her finger on her chin and stares up at the ceiling, mumbling to herself. "I'm sure Tachibana can substitute me." Afterwards, she grabs Haruhi and mine hand in hers and begins walking toward the exit. "We'll find someplace nice and I can tell you all about when Hikaru and Kaoru were young." She tries to continue but the two stop her while outbursting, "Mom, don't!" Hikaru yells, his face red.  Kaoru has an equally red face but chuckles nervously under it. "I don't think that's a conversational topic." Beside him, his brother grumbles and his nose is speckled with red as he glances at Haruhi every so often.
Ignoring the incident the others agree and soon enough we're piling into a long black limo. Yuzuha-san constantly asks questions to us I don't bother to answer. And when we finally get to the restaurant the questions stop. We get a table big enough for our group and the waiter comes to take our orders.
Halfway through the meal I attempt to get more water. The waiter said for water only there is a "free refill". So as I stand in front of the refreshment bar I look over at all the buttons. I soon feel a tap on my shoulder and turn around to see Kaoru. He smiles lightly.
"Need help?" I nod in answer. He grabs my cup and pushes the clear blue button. I raise a brow as I see the liquid come out of the nozzle on the bottom. Sure the others have explained the 21st century to me but it doesn't mean I get the mechanics of it.
"Sorry about earlier," I turn my head to him. "It's not that we don't want you guys to know about us...entirely. It's just...moms can get a little carried away, you know?" He questions. I hesitantly start to nod as a memory of when I was younger pops into my mind.

Mother and I would always go to the local bakery when father was out doing his rounds. The baker was a nice jovial man and had an equally great family. Their son was about my age and I instantly took a liking to him. So when we waited for our bread to bake I always made sure to stand next to him, mother got on to talking to the baker's wife about me around the house. "Young Angela, always waltzing about." She would say. My cheeks would heat and I would unintentionally scoot away because I felt it wasn't natural for a girl so young as me to dream about waltzing with anyone.

"Uh, Angela...hey." I shook my head and look into Kaoru's eyes. I noticed that I've been thinking about it too long. "Sorry, just thinking is all."
"About what?"  But I shake my head. "Okay. It's just embarrassing. That's why we reacted that way." I remember what he's talking about and begin to ask something. "But wh-?"
"Why was Hikaru so embarrassed and I wasn't?" Kaoru looks away. He looks as if he doesn't want to explain, but he does eventually. "Well, Hikaru's been the rougher child and not that it means anything he wouldn't want you guys to know about it. You guys meaning Haruhi and you, more so Haruhi than you." He looks down and I know why. It's not tough to put two and two together, Hikaru has feelings for Haruhi and doesn't want to embarrass himself to make her image of him be destroyed, he's just like me when I was younger.  I put my hand on my chest- a habit I never dropped from being alive. Somehow I cant help but feel something wrong. But I look up when Kaoru places his hand on my shoulder and nods back to the table.
I follow him.
