It is my father's funeral today. I dress in my funeral clothes when Rosalie enters my room. She hugs me closely and apologizes once more about the loss of my father.

"I wouldn't mind dying now, I have nothing else." I whisper into Rosalie's ear.

She looks at me with sad eyes before we leave the house for the funeral home. I invited the pack and Laurent to his funeral. Laurent kisses my hand as a greeting before he goes back to Tanya, his mate.

I sit between Jasper and Rosalie. She tells him what I told her and he eyes me warily.

"You let Laurent kill you, I'll change you love." Jasper whispers to me.

Laurent's eyes snap back towards and to me. I give him pleading eyes and he digs before agreeing. Jasper holds my hand when the preacher steps behind dad's casket.

They lower him into the ground and I stand to watch. Rosalie has her hand on my lower back when we leave the cemetery. Laurent meets us at the car and he smiles sadly at me.

"Meet us in then clearing." Jasper gasps out.

He grabs me and flashes away. We stop at the clearing and Laurent is standing there. Jasper closes his eyes. Laurent flashes to be right in front of me.

"I'll drain you." Laurent whispers as he pushes a strand of hair behind my ear. "You taste so amazing."

He tilts my head back and he sniffs my blood in the vein of my neck. He hisses and he bites right into me. I let it a small, weak gasp as he continues to drink me dry. He grips a handful of my hair as he falls to his knees, by dropping me. Once everything is back, he stops.

Jasper's POV

I see Laurent drop her when he finishes. His eyes satisfied and sad. He sighs sadly when he stands.

"She's dead." Laurent whispers. "Jasper, change her before I go into vampire depression."

I nod and I bend down to her level. I bite down into her neck, her arms, her stomach, and her legs. I pick her up bridal style before carrying her home. I lay her in my bed and I close her eyes. I sigh sadly as I tell Rosalie to dress Penelope, my future vampire mate.
