Chapter 69

Alyssa's mom

Alyssa POV

When I woke up I was just happy that my mom is coming back. Then there is that part of me that can't get what happened last night out of my head. But at the same time my mama coming back and it's going to be lit. 

I took my phone off the night stand seen that I got a couple of texts and calls from Lucas and my mom. I called my mom right back when I seen that I had a missed call from her.

"Hellrr mothrr."

"Well hellrr daughtrr." We both started laughing.

"What are we going to do today?" 

"Well I was thinking about going to the mall, watch a movie at the house and eat ice cream. Does that sound like a plan to you?"

"Yes mam." 

"Don't say that, you make me sound old."

"Ma your not old."

"Well you make 32 sound old. I'm going to text you later when I'm outside so we can go to the mall."

"Kk. Love you."

"I love you too sweetie." 

After the phone hung up, I got in the shower to get ready. As I was in the shower I washed my hair because it was not smelling right. I finally got out after shribbling up like a raisin. I got something simple to wear which is a jacket jeans and my all white uptowns. 

After I was done I was waiting for my mom to call me or beep her horn for me to come out, I watched a little bit of TV until I got a call from Lucas. I was temping to answer it, but I didn't I really didn't want anything to do with Lucas after what he said. Even though my fingers really want to slide to the right to answer, but I didn't.

The phone hung up but then it rang again. I looked at the caller id and it was my mom. i picked it up and said, "I'm coming out now." I said getting up and putting my wallet in my back pocket and headed out.

"Hey mama." I said getting in the car and giving her a kiss.

"Hey baby. You ready to go?"

"Let's go!!!" I said excitedly.

*At the mall*

As we were walking around catching up on things that I probably missed to tell my mom. Right when we were about to go inside of Target these boys from my school came up to me and my mom.

"Hey Alyssa."Michael said. The coolest kid in my school besides Lucas.

"Hey Michael." I said looking at August and Melvin.

"Is this your sister?" August asked licking his lips.

"Nope this is actually my mom." I said as my mom walked into the store.

 "Well, nice meeting you and your fine ass mom." Melvin said looking at my mom as she walked away.

"I can't front I see where you get your beauty and curves from ma. Keep doing what you do and you gon make a nigga cuff you." August said looking up and down at me as he walked away with his friends.

I walked into the store and was looking for my mom. As I was about to call her phone I bumped into somebody hard and muscular. I looked up to see Lucas.

What the fuck is he doing here?

"Hey Alyssa?" Lucas said smiling at me.

"Hey." I said quietly looking around the store.

"Look I know you might not forgive me because I don't forgive myself for hurting you like that, but I'm truly sorry for what I said I didn't mean for you cry because that's the last thing I didn't want or you to do. I just really love you and hope that you take me back."

I jumped and hugged him because i missed him so much. It don't matter what we go through imma always have love for his big head.

"I love you too Lucas even though you hurt my feelings, but I said I'll always be there for you no matter what. So I do forgive you." I said kissing him multiple times.

"Thanks babe. So who you here with?"

"My mom. Which I should find her. So I'll talk to you later when I get back."

"Aight babe." He said leaning in to give me a kiss.

"Ok bye baby."

"Byes are forever. See you later."

"Ok, see you later." And with that I went to find my lost mother.

*10 minutes later of searching*

"Finally I found you." I said hugging my mom.

"Finally nothing. How did it go with you and Lucas?"

"How you know Lucas was here?"

"I called him over here."

"Wow but everything is ok. We are on good terms again, but I just gotta talk to everyone else because I yelled at them."

"You got issues." My mom said looking at a turquoise blouse.

"That is cute. You should buy it." I said looking at a couple shirts. I seen this cute pencil skirt.

"Mom does this look cute on me?" I said holding it up.

"You should really get it. It would show off your momma curves too." She said as we both laughed a little.

We bought a few more things and we headed out to get something to eat.

"What do you want baby?"

"It doesn't matter and I'll pay for it."

"No you don't have to."

"Ma today is your day. You just got back from work so just chill I'll pay for it.'

"Whatever you say sweetie. What do you want?"

"I want pizza with bacon and I would be paying."

"Ok." As we waited for our pizza, I felt like someone was staring at me. When I turned around I seen August, Melvin and Michael and they all smirked.

I immediately turned around because it felt weird.

We finally got our pizza and left.

"What's wrong baby?" My mom asked as we were walking to the car.

"Nothing." I said getting in the passenger seat and putting my bags in the back seats.

"Then why are you so quiet?" My mom said starting the car.

"I feel like someone is following me."

"Who do you think it is?"

"You remember those boys that talked to us earlier?"

"Them? They don't look like the  type to do something stupid."

"Presence don't matter. They are good for doing something stupid."

"Aight kid."

As my mom was driving, I felt the urge to look at the drive though mirror. I looked up and I seen a car right behind us.

I looked at my mom, but I didn't say nothing.

*45 minutes later*

We finally got home. I went upstairs to put on something comfortable. I came back downstairs and my mom already put in a movie with popcorn in a bowl

"You couldn't wait for me?" I said plopping down in the couch.

"You were taking long."

"Ok I'm here now. What movie is this?"

"Love and basketball."

"This my shit." I said getting myself together.

"Ok shut up now."

*Half hour later into the movie*

As I was sitting there watching the movie I hear glass break on the kitchen. My mom and I looked at each other and we both got up and looked

Someone threw​ a brick at our window and now there is glass all over the kitchen floor.

I just looked at my mom in shock while she called the police.
