I had awoken with Cassian not in the room. At first, I was afraid, but then I heard his distinctive voice outside the door. I yawned as I sat up. I changed into the clothing I had bought yesterday and walked out.
"You're up," he noted. "I am," I responded. He was talking with Luke about more Rebellion information. I passed Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru in the kitchen. "Did you sleep well?" They asked me. "Yes, thank you," I responded. The breakfast was filling and we talked with Luke for a while. Then he had some chores to do, so we went to the marketplace area. Some of the troopers around kept asking everyone if they had seen 2 droids. A blue astromech and a human cyborg relations.
Then they came up to me. I kept my head down. "We haven't seen your droids," I responded. "Hey...you look familiar," he began. "You're probably thinking of someone else," I shot back. "No. You're one of the rebels who..." he began. But I kneed him and then knocked him out. With the other civilians looking at me suspiciously, I dragged him behind some crates and kept walking. Cassian had gone to one of the stands for food.
He returned and gave me a concerned look. "Not very blended in, huh?" He asked. I shook my head. "Well, let's make the most of it, shall we?" He asked. I nodded. Then he looked around for a second. "Well, if those troopers are looking for droids, that sand crawler up there will have a bunch," he noted.
The brown, wheeled ship rolled up. Small brown creatures scuttled around, arranging the droids in lines. Then I spotted the 2 they were looking for. I patted one of the troopers on the shoulder. "So...why are you looking for these droids anyways?" I asked. "They are holding some stolen plans for private business," he responded. I almost gasped out loud. They were holding our plans. We slowly made our way up to the sandcrawler. But the 2 droids were gone. I panicked. What if the Imperials had gotten hold of them?! We walked up towards the busy Jawas putting a broken droid together. "Excuse me," Cassian said, tapping one of them on the shoulder.
The Jawa turned. "We're looking for 2 droids. A small blue astromech and a tall droid?" He asked. The Jawa pointed a gloved hand at 2 people walking away. It was Luke and I was relieved. We ran up towards the droids. "Well, hello. I am C-3PO. Human cyborg relations," the tall one said. The small one whistled happily at us. He tried to move one of his internal machinery, but Luke sighed. "Let me fix you up first," he said. "Wait a second," C-3PO began. "You're...." he said, pointing to me. "Guests. Now come on!" Luke pushed the droids into the house. As he cleaned them, I was excited to see that they had the plans.
But Cassian pulled me into our room. "It might sound good that the plans are safe here, but now we live with them. If the Imperials find them, they'll find us!" He exclaimed. "But we can help escort them back to the base!" I responded. "And risk our lives again?" He asked. I sighed. "No. I guess not." He smiled. "I know it feels good to know that they will be in good hands. I just don't want those hands to be ours, alright?" He asked. "So will we leave?" I questioned. "Yes, we will leave," he responded. As he packed, I walked over to Luke's uncle and aunt. "Thank you for letting us stay with you," I said to them. "Of course, honey. Anytime!" She said. "Please be careful. Take care of yourself," I told them. Uncle Owen nodded. "We will. Nothing than kill us off, kid. Not even some Death Star," he reassured me. I wasn't so sure, but I gave them a friendly smile. "Ready?" Cassian asked, slinging the pack over his shoulder. "Lets go,"
