I ran towards the woods back to my house. I knew something was wrong with Jessica, but I just wasn't sure what.

I finally showed up to my house and ran upstairs. I opened up her door and ran into her bathroom, but it was empty.

I turned around and saw the bed was empty too. I started to panic.

Did she leave?

What if that one kid is beating her up again. My wolf wanted to kill him. If he took my mate he would definitely be a dead man.

I heard a loud scream coming from outside and I knew how my wolf was in pain, it was her.

I ran down the stairs. I found her in the snow and I ran towards her.

"Baby what's wrong?!" I yelled.

Her body was hot and she was sweating like crazy.

"A-A-Aiden..." she whispered.

I grabbed her small body in my arms and ran to our clinic. It's her first day here and she's already freaking out.

My wolf kept silent but I could feel his pain. Our mate was in trouble and there was nothing we could do to help her.

I ran into the clinic and the nurse came running up to me.

"Alpha, what's wrong?"

"My mate, something's happening. She's really hot and she's in a lot of pain."

The doctor was over with a bed. I sat her in it and they rolled her off.

"We are going to run a few tests. Stay here. I will have the nurse alert you when we find anything out.

He turned around and walked after my mate. She looked like she was in so much pain.

I felt my wolf whimper at the thought. I sat down in the waiting room chairs. I slumped in my seat.

"Alpha, what happened? I heard that you left your meeting with Alpha Alex 15 minutes ago."

My beta, Camry, mindlinked me.

"My mate. Something's happening to her."

"Well what's happening Alpha?"

"I don't know, Camry. Just leave me alone for now, okay? I'm not in the mood"

There was a moment of silence before she replied.

"Yes alpha."

I blocked my mind so I wouldn't be interrupted again. The nurse came out and she smiled when she saw me.

"Alpha, I am happy to inform you that your mate is just shifting."

My wolf perked up when she said that.

"Shifting? As in she's becoming a wolf?"

I was really excited about that. I'm definitely sure the pack will accept her now. Not like they ever wouldn't.

"Yes sir. She will be fine, but we want to keep her until she shifts. We want to make sure everything is going okay since this is her first time." She explained.

I nodded my head and put my hands in my pockets.

"Okay. May I see her?"

"Yes Alpha."

I ran back to the room that I saw her being brought into. I walked in and saw her on the bed.

Her bones were being bent in and out of place to form her wolf.

It was taking a lot longer than it should. But since this is her first time I would understand why.

Some black fur covered her here and there but for the most part she still looked beautiful. Her eyes were closed tightly.

I watched as she started to shake and stopped when another part of her became more furry. This happened off and on repeatedly for two days.

I would constantly be at the hospital waiting for my mate to fully shift but today was the day she will finally become her wolf.

I just know it. I looked at her body. She was completely covered in fur and at any moment she would wake up.
