Jessica's pov-
I looked at him in shock. He smiled at me and helped me down.
"C'mon, let's go for a run."
I wasn't going to lie, that sounded amazing. I felt tired but there was no way my walk was going to let me miss my first chance to run.
We walked outside and I followed him to behind the building where I just was. I watched as he shifted into his wolf. His wolf was powerful and I could tell he could easily kill anyone in his path. The thought made me worry and I back away from him.
He whimpered and walked towards me, which caused my wolf to growl slowly. He stopped. His grey eyes stared back into my own. I looked down sheepishly. I don't know why I growled. I guess I'm just scared he'll hurt me.
He backed away and laid down, showing that he wasn't a threat. I felt guilt rush through me. I felt bed for growling at him now.
I sniffed his fuzzy fur coat and I felt him purr slightly in delight. I loved the way he smelt. I never noticed how good he did small until now. Almost like I was smelling a forest covered in mint.
Aiden slowly stood up and he towered over my wolf. His was huge and like I said before, could easily kill me. He turned back towards the woods and started to take off. I ran after him, catching up to him shortly.
Together we ran through the tall blue spruce trees and down the mountain side. It was beautiful here. We stopped when we got to a lake that was frozen solid. I laid down next to it and rested my head down on the ground.
Aiden sat down next to me and laid his head on top of mine. I relaxed a little. My wolf purred in joy of being with my mate. I closed my eyes. I knew it was wrong to feel this close to someone I barely knew, but it seemed like we were perfect for each other.
Aidens wolf got up and disappeared. I stayed put because I wasn't sure if he wanted me to follow. I heard footsteps behind me and soon Aiden came back to sit next to me still in his wolf form.
I looked up and in his mouth was a white rose. I was glad I was in my wolf form because then he would have seen the massive blush on my face.
I sat up and he dropped the rose. It fell to the ground. I stared at it for a while before looking up to him.
"I brought it for you, my love."
I heard his voice in my mind. I bent down and sniffed the rose. It smelled amazing. I lifted my head up to his and I licked him repeatedly.
He began to do the same to me and after a while we started to play with each other. He jumped on top of me and began to playfully bite me. I flipped us over and I began to do the same to him.
He got out from underneath me and ran off into the woods. I ran after him. We got back to his house and we ran inside.
He shifted into his human form and I made sure to look away from him while he did so. He went upstairs and I followed him and went into my room. I shifted into my human form and changed into the outfit that I had worn the first day I had came here.
I walked out of my room to find Aiden in the hallway leaning against my wall. He didn't have a shirt on and only wore sweats.
"Are you hungry at all?"
I looked down trying not to look at his chest. I nodded slightly and he frowned. I didnt want him to see me slightly drooling.
"What's wrong?" He took a step towards me.
I backed up and looked at his face. It took everything in me to not look down at his perfectly chiseled abs. I gulped as his eyes searched me, looking for answers.
"Nothing. I'm just tired." I lied.
He stared at me for a while before shaking his head.
"Ok." His voice held uncertainty and I knew he didn't believe me.
He turned around and walked down the stairs and I followed him slowly. He continued on into the kitchen and I followed and sat on the bar stool.
He began to cook something. I sat quietly. My nails have never been painted and they were long and chipped. My skin was pale and dry. I rubbed my nails across them and watched as wherever they crossed, a white line followed slowly behind, which turned red after a few moments.
Aiden seemed to notice what I was doing and came over and grabbed my hands in his. His hands were much different than mine. His hands were large, a few scars here and there, and his nails were short. He pulled his hands, which were still holding mine, up to his mouth and kissed them softly.
I blushed and looked away from his eyes. His eyes change color when he's in his wolf form. When he's a wolf his eyes are red, but when he's human, their grey. He chuckled and his smile made my stomach turn.
"I'm so thankful for you. Your so beautiful." He whispered.
His eyes stared deep into my own. I smiled and blushed even harder. I looked down.
"I'm anything but beautiful."
He frowned at this. Aiden growled slightly causing me to pull my hands away from him.
"Don't say that. You are gorgeous. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise will die a painful death."
I smiled slightly and stood up.
"I'm really not all that hungry anymore. I'm just going to go upstairs and take a nap." I lied.
He nodded his head slightly and watched me as I walked up the stairs. I stepped into my room and walked over to my bed I wrapped my blanket around me and closed my eyes. I opened them when I felt the tears start to burn as flashbacks replayed in my head.
"You'll never be anything other than a disgrace to humankind."
He punched me in my lip. I closed my eyes and waited for the next impact.
"We all want you to die. So why don't you just kill yourself?"
He punched my stomach. I fell over and grabbed my knees.
"Your so ugly. I don't think anyone could ever lay an eye on you without going blind."
He kicked me in my arm. I held back the tears. I wouldn't give him the satisfaction of seeing me cry.
I closed my eyes tighter trying to forget the thought but it didn't work. I sat up and saw Aiden in the doorway with a tray of food in his hands. His face now held worry.
Crap.
I forgot to close my door.
