My weekend went by painfully slowly. I couldn't stop thinking about that wolf/man. Was he a werewolf? I guess that's what I'd call him.

I was walking to school now and I could see the main doors from here. I knew that Ben and his posse would be in there, waiting for me so they could finish where they left off. The flash back of the incident flashed back in my head.

Ben gave me a real quick kick in my side. He bent down and grabbed my molded covered face. "This is not over, and if you dare say anything, then I will kill you. Thats a promise..." He stood back up and within seconds he was gone.

Before I even realized what I knew I was doing, I was already at the back door of the school. I ran inside and I walked up stairs to go to my first class.

I was 25 minutes early, so what? I sat down in my usual spot in the back of the classroom. The classroom was quiet and it was filled with science things.

Since it was almost Christmas, our teacher put up a Christmas tree with a bunch of test tubes on it. He calls it a "chemist tree". He loves chemistry puns.

I sat in my desk and worked on homework. The bell soon rang and the hallways filled with students. Soon the class was full of students as well and class started.

Mr. Allen walked to the front of the room and pulled down the projector and put up our new notes.

We all started writing them down. The bell rang at the end of class and all the students darted towards the door hoping that they could get out of here fast enough to not get the assignment.

Mr Allen beat them to it.

"Your assignment is due on Wednesday. You can pick it up on the corner of my desk. It will be over your notes that we took today."

All the students turned around and made stupid comments about how they hate the world. They have the good life.

I waited until everyone was gone before I got up and ran out the door myself. The rest of the day went by pretty slowly.

It was now lunch and I was walking down the deserted hallways. I walked along the hallway and climbed up the stairs. I walked over to the hallway above the cafeteria and looked down at the kids below.

The cafeteria was filled with chattering students. The round tables were everywhere, and the smell of the school Lasagna made my stomach turn.

I hate the school's food. It was easy to find Ben's table. Ben was sitting with his group of rich friends. Everyone was around him talking and laughing.

Ben wasn't. Ben sat there glaring at the world looking from table to table trying to find me. I knew he was mad, but I didn't think he wanted to kill me.

My stomach started to turn when I saw him get up and disappear. I shook the thought from my head. I heard some footsteps coming up the stairs and the thought reappeared back in my head.

I turned and walked down the hall and made a left to go down the closest hallway. I ran down the hall and went down the stairs. I could hear the footsteps behind me still and I picked up my pace.

I turned around and I bumped into a hard chest. I fell to the ground and looked up. My worst nightmare came true. The person who was behind me walked around us and glanced at me and snickered.

They continued to walk away and I was left alone with him. I looked up to his face. He was angry.

"I told you not to say a word. I guess you had to open up your big mouth because now I have three weeks detention."

I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"I guess you really want to die, huh?"

He started walking towards me. I scooted back against the wall and shielded my face with my arms.

I was about to scream for help when the door that lead outside opened up. I continued to keep my face covered. I looked up when I heard his voice.

There stood in front of me was the werewolf guy and Ben. The werewolf guy was standing in front of me protectively and he was glaring at Ben, daring him to come any closer.

"Who the hell are you?" He asked, confusion clear in his voice.

"None of your business. Keep your hands off of my mate and pick on someone your own size."

Ben smirked which creeped me out.

"Like you?" He spat.

The werewolf growled and ran towards him shoving him into the other wall like Ben had just done three days before.

He cornered Ben and had his fist back, ready to punch him.

"Sure. Like me.."

he threw the punch right in Ben's eye and Ben fell to the ground like a wuss and screamed. Who would have known Ben Pringle, the school's most popular guy in school, is a wuss.

Mr. werewolf guy picked me up and carried me out the door. He ran behind the school and we hid behind the wall. He breathed out heavily and his breath was visible in the cold air.

He sat me down on the ground and I stood beside him.

"Why'd you do that?" I asked.

He look over to me and smiled when his eyes met mine, causing butterfly's in my stomach.

"No one hurts my mate." He whispered.

"We need to get out of here before they find you. I'm going to shift, hop on my back and hold on tightly. Okay?"

He stared at me waiting for a response.

"Okay."

He nodded in response and turned around to shift. I looked up to the sky. It was snowing small little flakes.

I looked back to him to see he was in his white wolf form. He looked up to me and I knew what he was implying. I walked next to him and threw my leg over.

I tried to ignore the tingles on my skin and I held onto his soft fur. He looked to me and then nodded and he took off running down the parking towards the woods.
