The White Wolf

IV

We went through the woods and we made it to a large town that I didn't even know existed. As we ran through, people stared at us and bowed.

That's weird...

I ignored the thought and we continued to ride through the town until we stopped at a large red brick house. I climbed off admiring my surroundings.

The mountains were very close to where we were and there was a small little river next to the house. The trees were bare and snow piled the ground. It was gorgeous here.

The white wolf led me into the house and he went upstairs and changed. I stayed downstairs and looked around.

The living room was quite large and filled with a leather couch that took up most of the room. A Christmas tree was sitting in a corner with a skirt around it. It needed decorated but it was about 2 weeks until Christmas so he has plenty of time to decorate.

There was a tv in the other corner. The walls were a pretty brown color and the carpet was a light creme color.

"You can make yourself at home, are you hungry?" He asked.

I turned around to see him wearing a red plaid shirt and some black skinny jeans.

"Um, not really."

He furrowed his eyebrows at my comment.

"But you didn't eat lunch... are you sure you aren't hungry?" He questioned.

I shook my head and he shrugged and turned around and headed for the kitchen. I sat down on the couch and ran my hands together. It was cold and dark in the house.

I leaned back on the couch which was an amazing decision because my back began to get massaged.

"Your couch is awesome."

I heard him chuckle from the kitchen.

"You like it?"

He walked out of the kitchen with a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. The food smelled amazing. He sat next to me and I stared at his food.

"You wanna bite?"

He waved the food in my face and I nodded. He handed my the sandwich and I accepted it happily. He watched as I ate it and he laughed causing me to look at him.

"What?"

He shook his head. "Nothing."

I swallowed the food and looked at him.

"No, tell me." I demanded.

He looked up to me and smiled sweetly.

"Your so adorable."

I turned away and couldn't keep the smile from spreading across my face. I was sure I was blushing now.

"I'm Aiden by the way."

He stuck out his hand. I took my hand and put it in his.

"Jessica"

his hand fit perfectly in mine and he shook it and let go. I put my hand down my side.

"I guess we should probably get you settled in."

He stood up and reached for my hand.

"Settled in?"

What does he mean settled in? I'm not staying here if that's what he thinks.

"Ya. Like I said. The pack needs you. You are their future Luna anyway."

I shook my head.

"Luna?"

He chuckled.

"You ask a lot of questions. C'mon, I'll show you to your room."

I closed my mouth and pinched my lips together. He lead me upstairs and we turned into a beautiful white room. The walls were white with a mural of a wolf howling to the moon above the black polka-dotted bed.

I sat on the bed and relaxed.

"Everything in your house is so comfy."

He smirked and laid down next to me.

"Thanks. This is your room. I'm right across the hall if you ever need me. I can have my beta come over here soon and she can take you clothes shopping. I'm sure you're gonna love it here."

"Am I staying?" I asked.

I leaned on the bed as well he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Ya. That's why I brought you here. You belong here. Not in that hell hole."

He grabbed my hand and squeezed it slightly. I pulled my hand away and wiped it on my jeans. I looked down. The awkward silence between us was growing bigger. I felt bad but I just met the guy a couple days ago.

"Can I take a shower? I feel filthy."

He got out of bed and walked towards a door that I assumed led to a bathroom. He opened it up revealing a white room with a black and white striped shower curtain and toilet. Yes, even the toilet had stripes.

"Is all this for me?"

He rubbed the back of his neck and looked down shyly.

"Yeah. I told my beta about you the first day I saw you in the forest. She wanted to organize you a room so you could have a place to stay. So we painted and decorated this for you. I hope you like it.."

I stood up and walked over to the bathroom. I turned to look at him and smiled.

"I do. Thank you."

He smiled. The doorbell rang from downstairs. "I better get that. What time do you want to go shopping? I'll give my beta a call whenever you want me too."

I shook my head and turned on the hot water.

"Can I go tomorrow? I just want to relax today. It's been a long day."

He nodded and turned around and walked out. There was hotel shampoo and conditioner which I planned to use for my hair. I stepped into the shower and I enjoyed the hot water that trickled down my back.

I started to feel a small pain in my side, but ignored it. I continued to take my long hot shower, but the pain kept getting worse. I climbed out of the shower and got dressed into some clothes aiden had left on my bed.

It was his t-shirt and a pair of sweats. I laid in bed and rubbed my stomach which only made the pain worse. The bed started to heat up quickly and it felt like I was in a sauna. I started to pant but it wasn't helping.

I had to get outside. I climbed down the steps carefully so I wouldn't fall. I saw the door we came in at and ran out the door.

The cold air felt good on my skin. My whole body now ached and I laid down in the snow. It helped with the hot sensation I felt earlier. My body started to cramp everywhere.

I crawled into a pile of snow and rolled in it. It relaxed me a little but the cramps were too powerful. I closed my eyes and screamed. Aiden, where are you?
