Chapter 8: Aftermath

I was so stunned, my whole body became paralyzed, but he was the best kisser I ever had. Kevin's lips, oh my god they were so soft and when he was holding me, that moment was perfect until what happened next made matters turn worse. "Oh my god! You bitch!" Liza ran over to us and pushed him away. "How can you do this to me?!?!? I loved both of you! Both of you will regret this." She stormed off, which made me think she will definitely go back to her destiny as a witch hunter. "You are such a great kisser T, now that I'm single how about we go on a date?" Yes, I know I was starting to develop feelings for Kevin, and on the inside my body was screaming "Take me away!" but all I could think about now is how Liza must feel and what she's planning to do. Thank god Don came at the right moment, "Hello Mr. Roberts, I need to speak with Ms. Jameson. I will bring her right back to you in a couple of minutes." We walked back to his classroom, before I just lost it. I was crying so hard. "Did you see what just happened? She's going to become a witch hunter."

"Yes, that's what I wanted to talk to you about. I went to the angels and they told me that Xar's disguise, he uses to blend in is usually a very old guy with a ponytail. The new janitor had a long ponytail, we need to figure out a way to stop him." I wasn't even paying attention to him, all I could focus on was Liza and the long passionate kiss. "If we vanquish Xar, can that reverse the damage?" Maybe by doing that everything can go back to normal and Liza will go back to wanting to protect us from her family? Sadly I wished it was that easy. "I'm sorry Tessa, that won't happen everything will remain the same we are going to need your sisters. I'll call them in here, and if anybody asks I'll just say that I had you guys do make-up tests." Wow, turns out that news does travel fast especially when you're in high school. "Tess, Oh my god did you really make out with Kevin in front of everyone?" Can this day get any worse? I was just waiting to get struck by lighting.

"Creepy old janitor is actually Xar, he must have sensed that we were here so he put a spell on my locker. I did think I healed my locker, my hands starting glowing, but obviously it didn't work and the fact I had a crush on Kevin, he used his powers to cause Liza heartbreak." Both Daphne and Rachel looked at each other then back at me, "So that means-" I nodded in agreement. "What are you ladies talking about?" After explaining the whole "witch hunter" problem to Don, we immediately came up with a game plan. The bell rang which meant it was lunchtime, we decided to have me sign everyone out so we could head home. Walking home with my sisters, listening to them telling jokes and laughing still made me realize everything that happened the last few days. "You okay Tess?" Daphne had us stop on the sidewalk, "Just very overwhelmed right now." That was probably the first time I spoke the truth ever since all of this happened.

"You know what though? the guy you had a crush on kissed you! Apparently it was very hot and there was some tongue involved." Rachel made my face turn as red as a tomato. We headed upstairs to get the ingredients for the vanquishing potion. Rachel cooked everything while we gave her the ingredients we found in mom's old trunk in the attic. Thank you mom with keeping a lot of supplies in the trunk just for us. "Okay now, Daphne hand me every ingredient while Tessa you read off the ingredients."

Once Rachel started making the potion, I noticed something I didn't see before. "Summon the Demon of Heartbreak:

In order to summon this demon, you must enchant the vanquishing potion before you chant "We summon you Xar. Come Xar, we command you. Once he is summoned, throw the potion, then recite the vanquishing spell."

Sounded easy, we decided to summon Xar upstairs, I wasn't in the mood to have Dad end up coming home or having to clean up the mess in the kitchen just in case it does get messy. Kevin texted me while I was walking in the attic. "Do u want 2 go on a date? I want 2 take u to the best restaurant possible." I decided to tell Kevin I would think about it, after everything that's on my mind, it would be nice to go out and maybe even see how hot Kevin would look in a tux. He texted back, ":)" right after I shut my phone off, I didn't want to be distracted from what we were about to do. "I found these crystals right by a old lamp, and the book said that these crystals trap evil once spread into an even circle. I already have all of them spread out, so when he comes I will put the final one down, which should trap him." Rachel told both of us right before we summoned him. "Ready?" We summoned Xar, and he showed up growling at us, Rachel put the final crystal down.

He was trapped instantly. "I hope that bitch kills all of you! Did you like my little present?" Xar was the actual definition of ugly, he was red from head to toe and he had a huge horn on his head. "Actually I did, I hope you like our present. I should warn you this will burn." God it felt so good to say that, I threw the potion and we started the spell. A sudden burst of flames almost engulfed him, until he said "I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE! I CURSE YOU AND EVERYONE YOU LOVE!" Man was he annoying, but he is gone, I wished that everything would have been reversed though. After we high-fived each other, we realized how we were almost late to school, I knew I recognized that car horn. Kevin was in my driveway, "Need a lift back?" He was actually our hero well my hero at that moment, we were heading back to school I turned my phone on when I saw someone left me a voicemail. "YOU KISSED MY MAN? I CAN'T WAIT TO BURN YOU AND YOUR SISTERS AT THE STAKE. YES MY FAMILY NOW KNOWS ABOUT YOU. SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR LIFE ANOINTED ONE."
