                                                                    *Mitch's POV*

Anger filled my veins. I struggled to find words.

"A-Adam.. No- She's going t-to... s-she-"

"Mitch, I know what you're going to say. She didn't shoot you! She had nothing to do with it."

Before I could reply, Riley stepped up beside me.

"Adam, you're being an immature little kid. Get your head out of your ass and realize what's going on. You're in danger! Do you not understand? That bitch had someone shoot Mitch! YOU'RE! IN! DANGER!" She yelled, as her face turned red. Mya had already left the room that Adam was in, so she heard none of it. Well... you never really know. Adam was shocked and didn't know what to say. Riley never talked to him like that. His face was full of hurt. Riley's eyes began to water, and she rushed back outside, slamming the door behind her. I turned to follow her, but Adam's voice stopped me.

"Give her some space Mitch. S-she's just mad. That's all..."

He was trying not to cry. In a way, I felt bad for him, but Riley was right. He's was being immature. He needed to realize that Mya didn't really love him. She would hurt him. Maybe even kill him... He needs to wake up.

"Adam, she's right. I know you hate me now, but don't hate Riley. Do this for her. Escape from Mya while you still can."

"What exactly am I going to escape to? Answer me t-that Mitch."

He ended the call, leaving me in silence. I sighed, and walked out to the back yard. I saw Riley sitting on the ground, with her face in her hands. I walked over and sat beside her. She continued to cry. I pulled her into a hug, and she cried into my chest.

"Come on." I whispered into her ear. "Let's go."

She nodded and started to stand. I stopped her and picked her up bridal style. I carried her through the house, and up the stairs to her bedroom. Gently, I sat her down on her bed.

"I'll be right back." I said, before walking to the kitchen. I grabbed the ice cream out of the fridge, and two large spoons. I hurried back up to her room. When she saw me with the ice cream, she couldn't help but laugh. I smiled, and sat beside her. I turned on Netflix, and we watched Disney movies all evening. When the ice cream carton was empty, I picked it up and threw it away. I checked the time.

11:56 P.M.

We both got changed into comfy sleep clothes, and layed down. I pulled the blankets over us and I kissed her softly. She smiled. I wrapped my arm around her protectivly, and we both went to sleep.
