The funeral

                                                                   *Mitch's POV*

The funeral was today. Everyone dressed in black and wore a frown. I missed him so much. I felt sorry for Riley though. As they laid his coffin into the ground she shouted "No!" and ran towards it. Jerome and I had to hold her back, to keep her from falling into the grave. She finally gave up and fell to her knees with her hands in her face. I didn't try to move her. I just sat down beside of her and hugged her shaking body the whole time. She had lost a friend. A brother. He meant as much as Ty. I wasn't jealous. I had thought of him as a brother as well.

During the middle of the funeral, before they put him in the ground, I had been called up to the front for a speech. I hadn't planned for this, so I just said the words that were swarming my mind since the day he died.

"Honestly... I don't know what to say. Adam wasn't just my friend. He was my family. My brother. Nobody will take his place. He was unique. He knew how to make a person laugh when they were sad. He cared about others. He... he was forgiving. He was Adam. And he will be remembered and dearly missed."

I stepped down from the front and walked quietly back to my seat. Jason, Jerome, Riley, Quientin, Dakota, and I were sitting in the front row. Behind us, there was Adam's family. His mom, dad, and his brother. Behind them sat my family, who were friends with Adams'. Behind them were friends and other family members. They all came for him. He was cared about. He was loved. I knew that from this day on, I wouldn't go a day without thinking of him. One thought was still clouding my thoughts the whole time.

A life for a life.

I'm going to kill Mya.
