As the utahraptors managed to closed their distance towards the students, they started pouncing onto the nearest ones, biting their limbs or anything that was available to take their preys down. With cries of pain, the ones that were caught screamed and begged for help. The ones that were ahead were all gritting their teeth, hearing their friends cry for help without being able to do a single thing.

Ethena and Snow could guess how they felt. Powerless, weak and perhaps even regret. The ones that were on the ground knew that no one was coming to save them however without any hope they just instinctively raised their arm towards the people running away. They just wanted to be saved.

"I can't leave them behind, I have to save them." A girl proclaimed while turning to try to save the ones behind.
"Leave em! There's no way we can help them. Sarah going back there, only death is awaiting you, they won't be! "

"But...... We can't leave them can we? Didn't we all promise to survive this together?"

As they were talking, the breaths that were meant for running ended up slowing them down and the utahraptors certainly weren't waiting for them to finish their conversation. Facing the mouth of a utahraptor was definitely scary, it's roar in their faces let them smell it's horrid breath and the saliva spilling all over both of their faces was unsettling.

As the utahraptor was about to rip their faces off, it was Ethena that stepped up. She appeared in front of them and gave a round house kick, knocking the utahraptor sideways.

As the herd split in two, one went ahead to chase the other group that were still running and utahraptors that were left surrounded Ethena and the other two. It also didn't take that long till the utahraptor that Ethena knock away was already back up on it's feet. As it hissed in anger at Ethena, Sarah was shaking in her boots, while the guy stood there dumbfounded.

"Just what are you guys doing? That many of you and none of you could handle those creatures or even run away properly?" Said Ethena.

"How about you Ethena? Why all of a sudden you decide to play the good samaritan? Had a change of heart?" Snow chuckled.

"Run! You might not know this however these things are immune to spells. Nothing we can do against these things. Even physically we can't match em. I don't want to drag you into this, I'll distract them, Steven lead them when there's a hole, I dragged you into this too. Sorry."

"Sarah, let me play the guy role for once. Go."

As the soap opera between the both of them entered into their own world, Ethena gathered her aura and recited a spell from memory. As she clasped the ground, chains sprouted from the ground around the utahraptors and bounded them to the ground. They shrieked and struggled to try to break free from the chains.

"Couldn't you bind them like that in the first place? Rather simple spell." Ethena asked them.

"Wait for it, it wont last for long."

What Steven and Sarah said was sort of accurate. Those creatures were rather special, little did anyone there know it was the metallic part that made them "resistant" towards the spells they used. With each of them letting out a shriek, the high pitch broke the chains easily, making them very free to attack once again.

Ethena was really surprised by what had happened. She had never seen or read any spell being torn apart by sound before. It was both amazing and scary at the same time. A new discovery at the fangs of the beasts. As the utahraptors begun encircling them, the first targeted Snow.

Snow dodged the jaws that tried to rip her flesh and replied in kind with a gentle push. As the utahraptor, turned back to attack, it's body begun to shake uncontrollably. It dropped on one leg and started foaming at the mouth.

"What did you just do Snow? Was that poison?" Ethena was once again surprised. No enchantments, no chanting, instantaneous casting perhaps but that is extremely rare even for the higher tiers in Olympus.

"Let's talk later, seems like magic may not affect them but physical matter does." Said Snow.

"Physical matter?"

"You know, not using spells directly but physical attacks work. If you lift a rock with magic and hits the target, the physical mass would affect them but not the spell itself."

When the three heard what Snow suggested, they went ohhhhh and with an evil glare, all of a sudden the predators may have just turned back into prey and vise versa.
