The tables had turned on the poor utahraptors, instead of having a mighty feast, they were about to get four new predators. The magic resistance was truly the only thing that kept the Utahraptors safe. The children of the institute weren't all inept. Some of them were actually rather strong, just a little too dependent on using magic. It's like the first time outside the classroom, applying theory onto practice isn't easy. They are both very different things as shown. In any case, it didn't take long before they made the surrounding utahraptors run from the hill after making an example of some of them.
Trying to contain their excitement on defeating the utahraptors, Steven and Sarah looked back to see if they could save anyone however back there wasn't good news. From the looks of it, there weren't anyone alive back there. The utahraptors made good work of the bodies that it was a grotesque scene back there. One look and Sarah felt nauseous, Steven could only look away in disgust.
Ethena had read all sorts of books so she wasn't so shocked at the sight at dead bodies though it wasn't exactly pleasant. Snow on the other hand was just giving a sullen look.
Now that it was over, Snow had some answering to do. The leech incident and now this.
"S-n-o-wwww. You know what I'm going to say don't you?"
"Mhm, I rather not say but if I have to, I would prefer if it was limited to just you knowing."
"That's fine. I don't know what your hiding but you will keep your word won't you."
"The moment we're all alone together. I'm all yours."
As Ethena backed away, she made it clear that she doesn't swing that way. Followed by a laugh by Snow who was only teasing Ethena as she was so uptight all the time.
"Erm, I don't know who you both are but thank your for saving us." Both Sarah and Steven thanked them profusely.
"It was just a whim, don't need to thank us that much."
"Don't mind her, little Ethena is the shy type. Deep down she's secretly happy."
Perhaps really due to shyness, Ethena knocked Snow on her head and crossed her arms while looking away. Ethena wasn't about to admit it but Snow was fun to be with, it was different from the admiration, envy or the sucking up that she was used to. Skills on par with herself and her analysis on the weakness of the utahraptor was spot on, plus certain other worrying factors with that laid back attitude. It might be worth the risk to pair up with her during the survival game.
"We know it's rude for us to ask even though we were already saved by you two however would both of you please take us with you? We wouldn't hold you back, we'll even be your shields when an emergency comes on."
"You know, I'm already taking care of this my pace girl over here, I'm not so confident that I can protect you two when we're in an completely unknown situation. Deal with your own safety with your
own hands." Said Ethena.
"You're right, sorry. We won't forget this debt. We'll definitely repay this debt."
"With interest of course" Said Snow jokingly.
"Of course, count on it. Till we meet again."
As they said their goodbyes, once they were alone, Snow teased Ethena that didn't she originally want to go through the game alone, why is she suddenly so accepting.
Ethena just replied coldly that she was just taking a gamble, that there were more benefits than demerits having Snow around. Snow somehow knew she was just shy so she was smiling and grinning like an idiot.
"Well Snow, onto your promise."
"You mean our sweet alone time?"
"Stop joking, It's about your strange power. Were those times you casting instantaneously? Just how did you manage it? Especially at your age."
"Mmm, your not exactly right. It seemed like I casted something but that isn't true. You can say I was born with a special constitution. My aura was already revealed before 'Godhood' unlike most others. It was classified as a Rank-1 aura type, poison aura. Without even the need to cast spells, I have a large range of poisons that I could use within split seconds. In other words, I'm an all natural poison woman." Snow laughed it off with a sullen look. Snow was definitely really affected by this and her sad laugh proved it.
