Another week had passed and it was Christmas morning. Isaac and I were both excited for the presents we had got for each other, but promised to open them that evening. It was hard to keep them closed, for both of us, but I knew it would be worth it. I put my hair up in a messy bun and took place on the sofa. Isaac entered the room with two cups in his hands. "One coffee with milk and sugar for my best friend!" He said with a big smile and handed the cup to me. We haven't talked about the kiss, not yet, but I don't think we ever will. I wanted to say that I didn't mind, but actually I did mind. I was in love with my best friend. "Thanks," I smiled and turned on the television. The movie Home Alone immediately popped on and I heard an annoyed sigh leaving Isaac's mouth. "I hate Home Alone," he growled. "Who doesn't, that's why we are going to watch something else," I said excitedly and took a sip of my coffee. "If it's a romantic movie, I will kill you," he said and I rolled my eyes as a reply. "A romantic movie it is then!" I said sarcastically and he pushed me against my schoulder. "So, let's watch 10 things I hate about you or let's watch The Notebook!" I yelled enthusiastically and he raised his eyebrows at me. "I'm still voting for Ouija," he said and now it was my turn to raise my eyebrows.
"If you're ready for sleepless nights, sure!" I giggled and he pulled the remote out of my hands. "Ouija it is then!" A sigh left my mouth. "I hate you, but fine. You'll have to deal with me this week because I'll probably be too scared to even go downstairs on my own," I smiled and he laid his hand on my knee.
"I'll protect you," he smiled and I laughed a bit while he was putting on the film. His warm hand stayed on my knee and I took a sip from my coffee. The slight bitter taste made me close my eyes for a bit before I took another sip. "Are you ready for the movie Piper?" Isaac asked me and I shook my head. I wasn't lying, I wasn't ready to be frightened to death. "Let's start it then," he said, ignoring my answer. I focused my eyes on the screen while biting my lip. I was already terrified even though nothing had happened, but it could've happened any moment. His hand grabbed mine and pulled me into his arms, causing the coffee to spill everywhere, but mostly on Isaac. "You're an idiot!" I yelled while looking at my empty coffee cup. I heard him laughing and I looked at him. His clothes were covered in coffee and he let go of my hand. He stopped the movie and stood up. "I'll be right back, I just need to change," he laughed and walked towards the stairs. I also stood up and with my empty coffee cup I walked towards the kitchen. Isaac was such an idiot, but I would give up my life for this idiot.
