"Isaac," I whispered and all I got as response was some annoyed growling. It was almost two at night and I didn't get any sleep yet. "Isaac," I say again, this time it's louder and he finally turned over. "Just go to sleep already Piper," he muttered and I sighed. "I- I have to pee," I said and looked at him. He frowned at me and I turned on the nightlight. His eyes were slightly opened and his hair was messier than ever, but he looked adorable. "Then go to the bathroom and use the toilet," he said and I immediately shook my head. "I can't, I'm scared," I softly said, I felt embarrassed. I saw how he got up. "You agreed to be stuck with me because of the movie, so you have to defend me," I said, trying to sound confident.
"Let's make this quick because I want to sleep," he yawned and I stood up from the bed. I followed him into the hallway and he turned on the lights. Quickly I walked towards the bathroom door and got inside while he stayed outside. "Hurry up," he said and I did my business on the toilet. When I was finished I left the bathroom and hugged him tight. His arms held my body close. "Thank you Isaac," I whispered and walked with him to my bedroom, but it was also his bedroom at that moment.
I crawled into the bed and saw how Isaac turned off the lights. He looked really sleepy and I couldn't blame him for that. My eyes travelled to the nightstand and I saw the picture of us together. A smile appeared on my face and Isaac crawled in bed. "Can you sleep now?" He asked, his eyes focused on me and I slowly nodded. "I think so," I said and I turned off the nightlight in my room. I laid back and stared at the ceiling. His breathing slowed down and I moved my body closer to his. His warmth made me feel comfortable and he wrapped me in his arms.
"Are you sure you can sleep?" He muttered and I laid my head on his chest. "I'm sure," I answered and closed both of my eyes. I focused on his heartbeat that got slower and slower. "Isaac? Can I ask you something?" I asked. I only heard some mumbling. "What happens when we are both graduated? What if we forget about each other?"
"I'll never forget you Piper, you're my best friend," he said and with those words I fell asleep. That was my last Christmas with you..
