It was two in the morning when Camila heard somebody knocking on the door down stairs.
___________________________________"Hey.." Lauren mumbled as the door opened.
Her lipstick was wiped off almost completely, her mascara was wrecked like she'd been crying, and she was absolutely soaked from the rain that had started up after Camila got home, luckily her front steps had a roof over them.
"Lauren, what are you doing here?" She asked, tugging down on the shirt she was wearing.
She'd forgotten to grab shorts before answering the door.
"I just thought I should tell you that I've been in love with you since middle school.." She said slowly.
Camila tensed up.
"I know that telling you about it now isn't fair and that you moved on, but I thought you should at least know about it." She said, wiping a tear out of her eye.
Camila just stared at her, going over her words in her head.
"I just thought that.." She laughed sadly. "I just thought that if I didn't tell you we could at least.. Even if I could never have you, I could pretend it was all okay."
"Lauren.." The brown eyed girl gasped.
"If we could even be friends now, Camz.. I'll do anything for you." The older girl let her tears fall freely. "Losing you was the worse thing that ever happened to me."
"I don't wanna be your friend Lauren.." She whispered.
Tears poured out of her green eyes as she nodded and turned to leave.
Camila grabbed her hand and pulled her into the house, wrapping her arms around the taller girl's neck, and kissing her as the door closed, not giving a damn about all the water.
"I love you too." The younger girl whispered making Lauren laugh.
"You laugh like a baby." Camila smiled.
"Shh.." The green eyed brunette hushed before kissing the younger girl again. "We have a lot to catch up on.."
