The first time Camila Cabello met Lauren Jauregui, she was six.

It had been her first day of kindergarten and she'd been peacefully sitting on the grass beneath a tree when a very furious looking girl had stomped over to her with her arms crossed.

She was wearing dark blue plaid shorts and a long sleeved, black, Rolling Stones shirt, that seemed to go perfectly with her black converse shoes.

"Hey, what's your name?" The green eyed girl asked, pursing her lips.

"Uh.. Camila. Tuya? Oh, uh. Hablas Espanol?"

"Si. Mi nombre es Lauren. Habla usted ingles?" The girl pressed.

"Yeah, but I don't like it." Camila answered.

"Well, do you like me?" She inquired.

Camila just nodded her head, unsure of why the girl had even come over, when she had been playing well with a little blonde girl and a few others just moments before.

"Good." She huffed, sitting down next to Camila on the grass. "Then you're my new best friend."

"What about your other friend? You were just playing with her."

"CeCe isn't my friend now.." She rolled her eyes. "And you're not allowed to talk to her."

"Why?" Camila asked. "My mommy says I can talk to who I want."

"Yeah, but you can't talk to her." Lauren argued.

"But why not?" She insisted.

"Because! She said mean stuff about you! She said she thought your bow was stupid cause it's pink, but then I said that she liked pink, but then she said that she only liked pink yesterday.." She rambled. "Then she said that you were stupid and I said she was just mean, cause she is mean, and then I told her that we aren't friends anymore and that she can't come over to jump on my trampoline anymore, and then I came over here."

"Why did you come over here?"

"Oh! 'Cause I like your bow! I mean, I don't like pink, because I like blue even though it's a boy color, but my mom says that it's not only a boy color so I'm allowed to like it, like my brother Chris likes purple, but he's just a little kid so he likes all kinds of colors too, like red and stuff, and I like red too, which is kind of like pink, so I guess I do like it." She shrugged as if the whole explanation made total sense.

"Wow. You talk.. A lot." Camila giggled.

"Hey, you got a funny laugh, like a cutesy one." Lauren smiled.

"Thanks?" She asked.

"Yeah, oh! Hey, you know who talks a lot? My friend Ally!" She grinned. "She talks all the time just like me, my mom says that we're chatterboxes, but that's okay 'Cause we get along really good. Hey! She knows Spanish too! We could all be best friends and talk in Spanish!"

"Okay.."

"Yeah! But you can't talk Spanish to Dinah Jane or Mani Hamilton 'Cause they don't know Spanish like me and Ally and you." She said standing up and reaching her hand down to the other girl. "Well are you comin' or are you gonna sit here all day long?"

Camila grabbed her hand, letting the girl pull her to her feet before trying to dust off her pink dress.

Lauren wiped some of the dirt off the back and smiled down at the girl.

"Hey, you're pretty short." Lauren said, noticing that Camila only came up to her shoulders.

"You know, you're kinda mean." Camila whined with a frown on her face.
