UNIT 10 Will be doing dan Will have done

a) pertama, pelajari contoh keadaan dibawah ini.

Tom is a football fan amd there is a football match on television this evening. The match begin at 07.30 and ends at 09.15. Ann wants to come and see Tome this evening and wants to know what time to come :

Ann : is it all right if I come at about 08.30 ?
Tom : No, dont come then. I'll be watching the match on television.
Ann : oh, well, what about 09.30 ?
Tom : yes, it'll be fine. The match will have finished by then.

b) Kita menggunakan will be doing untuk mengatakan bahwa kita akan berada dalam pertengahan melakukan sesuatu pada waktu tertentu di masa yang akan datang (future). Contohnya,dalam pertandingan bola dimulai pada jam 7.30 dan berakhir pada jam 9.15. Jadi selama waktu tersebut, contohnya jam 8.30, Tom akan menonton pertandingan.
Dibawah ini beberapa contoh :

- You will recognise her when you see her. She will be wearing a yellow hat.

- this time next wee I'll be on holiday. I'll probably be lying on a beautiful beach.

Bandingkan will be doing dengan bentuk continuous lain:
Tom works every morning from 9 o'clock until midday. So :
- At 10 o'clock yesterday he was working.
- At 10 o'clock now. He is working.
- At 10 o'clock tomorrow he will be working.

c) kalian juga dapat menggunakan will be doing dalam cara lain : untuk berbicara sesuatu yang telah direncanakan atau diputuskan :
- I'll be going to the city centre letter. Can I get you anything ?

Dengan artian will be doing mirip dengan am doing.
- I'm going to the city centre later.

Kita juga sering menggunakan Will (you) be -ing ? Untuk menanyakan rencana seseorang, khususnya ketika kita inginkan sesuatu atau ingin seseorang melakukan sesuatu.
- Will you be using your bicycle this evening ?
- Will you be passing the post office when you go out ?

d) kita menggunakan will have done (future perfect) untuk mengatakan bahwa sesuatu akan telah terjadi sebelum waktu yang ditentukan di masa yang akan datang. Tom's football match ends at 9.15. Jadi setelah waktu tersebut, contohnya pada jam 9.30,  pertandingan tersebut will have finished. Disini beberapa contoh ;
- Next year is Ted and Amy's 25th wedding aniversary. They will have been married for 25 years. (Namun sekarang mereka telah menikah selama 24 tahun)

- We are late. I expect the film will already have started by the time we get to the cinema.

- I will have finished my study in time.
