Midnight

I was laid asleep when I was shaken. My eyes popped open to see Nicki crying.

B: what's wrong baby?

O: B I-... ahhhhhhh!!!!

She screamed into her pillow. I threw the covers off and saw that her waters broke.

B: shit!

I went to wake up Z and told her to get Nicki's bag ready. She did that while I carried Nicki to the car.

B: it's ok baby. Everything's gonna be ok.

O: it hurts B

She cried.

B: I know baby

I put her in the passenger seat. Z was already in there with the bag. I stepped on the gas and tried to drive as quickly as possible to the hospital.

Hospital

We got Nicki a room and I called my family to come down. Me and Z was in the room with her trying to calm her down because she was really scared. She was crying and that broke my heart.

B: nick please stop crying it's gonna be ok. I'm gonna be right next to you.

I rubbed her hand and kissed her head. She kept crying and shook her head.

O: I'm so scared B

Z: mama

Nick stopped crying at looked at Z as she walked to the bed.

O: come here baby

Z climbed in the bed and laid on her chest. Since then Nicki was calm. It made me smile.

My family burst in the room.

K: is she ok?

B: she's fine

S: nic nic!

Solange ran over and hugged her.

T: baby she's gonna be fine

B: I know I'm just nervous

My dad pulled me in a hug and that made me feel so much better. I'm a daddy's girl so to have my dad's support at this time really means a lot.

M: everything's gonna be ok baby girl.

I nodded and he kissed my forehead. The doctor said that family has to wait outside so it was only me and nick. When Z went she got scared again so I got in bed with her when they brought one extra so we'd have more space.

The whole birth I looked at nick and just prayed that everything will be ok.

When my son came out I cut the cord and they cleaned him and gave him to me. I was so happy and couldn't stop smiling. Then my little girl came out and I was happy crying and so was nick. We got them cleaned and placed them both on our chests where our hearts were so they know we're their mommies.

My family came back in and my dad was the first to come to the babies. He instantly fell in love with his new grand babies and That made me happy. He held both of them while giving them kisses.

While everyone was getting a hold of the babies I turned to nick and she was sniffling. I laid down next to her and kissed her cheek. She turned to me.
