Dipper holds Bill as tight as he can, eyes closed and lips messily pressed on his own.
Bill, eyes wide open, stares at the boy in front of him, and he's surprised about how firm his grip is, about how gorgeous the kiss is.
It lasts only a few seconds, and Bill hates how fast time goes on this dimension.
Never, in a million years, could he have thought that something so stupid, so superficial like a kiss, could be so amazing.
Dipper pulls away, blushing madly.
"It... It wasn't supposed to happen like that"
He stutters, leaning back.
Bill looks confused and gazes at Dipper, who is looking terribly sorry, blushing and avoiding his gaze.
Dipper closes his eyes, tight. He's turned to the ground, hiding his face.
Bill comes closer, and sweetly places his hands on his. Dipper avoids his eyes, and Bill thinks, why must he be so awfully cute.
"I'm sorry"
Dipper speaks and hides under his fingers, his voice cracking a little. Bill didn't need to hear this.
"Since you had left the mindscape and got a human form and had my age and tried to act normal, and hunt me, and tease me and always be around me I-"
He've had enough. His words are interrupted by Bill leaning into him, taking his hands in his and messily reaching his lips, trying his best to give him a kiss as good as Dipper's was.
A little unstable maybe, but still good, Dipper leans into him, letting Bill hold him against his body.
He makes this kiss a little longer, enjoying every second of it.
Dipper pulls away, laughing. Bill doesn't like interrupted kisses, but Dipper's happiness is worth a broken kiss.
"Pinetree"
Bill leaves some distance between them, still gazing at the boy. The other boy looks at him, confused.
"I hope you don't put on all this dumb show again next time"
Dipper blinks.
"Next time?"
Bill goes away, leaving him hanging.
Dipper sighs, taking his journal and his stuff back, looking for the shack into the dark night.
It doesn't matter if Bill was gone.
He's gonna came back anyway. He always does.
_________________This was from a request for someone on Instagram a long time ago, I had to use the line "it wasn't supposed to happen like this" and base my story on that (it was part of the request)
It was my first time writing a billdip story but I still like it, even today
