Black Lighting

Chapter 1

It's cold, very cold, it is the middle of fall and Halloween is coming up. I am in my car heading to school, I am going on a field trip to the natural history museum. I am not that stoked about this trip. I just have this weird feeling in my gut that something bad is about to happen. While in my thoughts I swerve to the other side of the road, in a brief moment I see a cherry red car heading towards me I turn a sharp right. Then my vision is back and I see the same cherry red car again and like last time I take a sharp right and dodge the car.

"What just happened?" kept running through my head. I just shake it off and keep heading towards the school. After everyone piled on the bus I got on and I see my friend waving their hand in the air like a maniac. I walk over to my friend named Izzy and she talks about how excited she is about the trip. Her voice just started to fade out as I thought about what had just happened to me.

I hear a scream and snap out of my thoughts. Izzy was standing over me screaming, I dazedly sit up and see that the bus is sideways and this weird substance is all over me. "Tony, speak to me, are you ok!?" She screamed before I answered, "Yay, what just happened?" I asked. She explained that a truck carrying chemicals slammed into the back of the bus and some chemicals landed on me.

She helped me get up and wrapped my left arm around her back and we walked out of the bus and we went over to an ambulance to clean myself up. After I was all cleaned up, my parents drove up beside the road and asked if I was ok, "Did you get hurt? Were you taken care of? Do you need to some food? Honey go get some food out of the car!", "I am fine mom." I said as she kept checking me for any severe cuts or bruises. After I pried myself away from my parents I looked at some of the other students and saw many of them with medics swarming them.

I just hurried away and me and my parents drove off, not knowing what would happen next.
