Black Lighting

Chapter 7

           I shut my eyes as tight as I can and just hope that I don't die by my friend's hand. I feel my feet lift off of the ground and feel my whole world flip upside down. Shortly after I feel my feet touch the ground with a little click and feel the wind stop. I slowly open my eyes and realize I am in a different room, it is filled with white marbled walls and men and women in suits are walking everywhere. I then look over at Jacob and see him grinning like an idiot at me. "What's so funny?" I asked, "Nothing, just your face when we teleported here was priceless." He pulled out his phone and showed me a picture he took of me with my faced scrunched up and my face as pale as fresh fallen snow. I immediately tried to take it from him and failed and fell to the ground with a thud. I rubbed head and look up to see a woman in very sharp clothes staring at me. I immediately pop up and asked Jacob, "Who is that?" "That is Director Natasha or Nat for short, she runs this place and she is my boss." He responded, "Good evening director, I brought Tony here as you asked." She looked at him and then at me, she gave a fake smile and offered her hand. I shook her hand and she motioned for me and Jacob to follow her. 

      As we followed her a man with a huge cart came through and was about to hit Jacob, then the same thing happened but I was able to warn Jacob beforehand. I followed her until she ushered me to stop when we were in a room with a finely polished desk and chair in it. "It is nice to see you, Tony." She said, "You too, but what exactly is this place and why am I here?" I asked. "This place is, Raven, a special group of agents who help protect the world.", she said," and you Tony are here to become a hero and agent of Raven." I was shocked, "But I don't have anything you guys would want-" then I realized, I have been having all these visions and the cars going off and my alarm clock getting fried. I realized I do have powers. "Tony, are you ok?" I heard Jacob ask. "Yeah, Yeah, I am fine just a little shocked is all. I have powers, how did my life end up like a crappy sitcom?" I said. Jacob laughed a little, then they director explained that I will be living here for a while until I am able to control my powers.

     "What about my parents, what if they worry about me?" I asked, "It is alright, we told your parents that you went on a camping trip and won't be back for a while." She replied. "Jacob please take Tony to his new room." "Yes, mam." Jacob motioned his hand for me to follow him. As we were walking Jacob explained why he left when I went to high school. He said that he started to have these weird things happen to him, when he got mad there would be a storm outside that came out of nowhere, he could lift a car. He was then taken into Raven to become an agent and to control his powers. Soon after he was done we arrived at a steel door that had the name Black Lighting on it. "Who came up with that?" I asked sarcastically. "I did." a female voice said. I turned around and saw a girl.
