Black Lighting

Chapter 8

       The girl had blonde hair with black at the tips. She also wore a purple and magenta suit and black gloves and boots. "Hi, names Joana, but you can call me Specter." She said offering her hand out. "Nice to meet you Specter, names Tony." Then a dude walked in and got beside her. He wore a black leather jacket with some torn jeans. He went over to the girl and gave her a hug. "Nice to see you Joana." He said, "You too Mason." She replied. They soon ran off and Jacob left me to my room to get settled. While there I noticed something was a little off about the place. The carpet was a dark shade of blue and its pattern was very odd. I rubbed my feet on it with my socks on and there was no static. I did it a couple more times but still no static, I realized, the room prevents electricity to go through it. They knew about my powers and made this room for me specifically.

       Then I heard the door open and saw the director. "Tony, as soon as you are ready I would like for you to come and meet me in the combat room." She was about to leave when she looked at me and said, "it is two doors down from your room." She then walked out and the door automatically closed itself. I just sat back down on my bed and in the corner of my eye I saw something. I saw something inside my closet. It startled me so I walked towards it and my hand started to feel warm. I looked at my hand and electricity was hoping from finger to finger like at school. I looked back over at the closet and when I got closer, I saw that inside the closet was a bag. It was a black bag that resembled a body bag, I decided not to open it because the director was waiting for me in the combat room.

     I walked down the corridor and soon found what I thought was the combat room. I walked to the door when I was only inches away from it it opened by itself. I then saw the director in the middle of the room, she motioned me to come to her. I walked over to her and we both were now in the middle of the room. "Attack me." The director said, "What?" "I said attack me." She said in a harsher tone now. I did as asked and I tried to punch her but she moved out of the way. I fell to the floor with a thud. I got back up and dusted myself off. "With your powers this time." I concentrated and felt my hands get warm. I looked down and my hands had electricity flying off of them. I looked back at the director and ran at her. She stood there so I decided to take this opportunity to throw a punch at her lower jaw. She slightly moved her head backwards and dodged the punch. No I was getting frustrated, I threw a fiery of punches at her hoping I would hit her. I soon clipped her chin and she fell back, "Good Tony, must people can't hit me but you could so, I am impressed, your official training starts tomorrow and Joana will be your instructor."

      I just walked out and collapsed on my bed. "That was crazy!" I thought to myself, I can throw punches like a beast and I am barely tired. While in my thoughts I closed my eyes and felt a surge of energy go through me. I opened my eyes and looked to see I was in a different room. I looked to my right and saw that I was in Jacob's room. I looked to my left a saw an electrical outlet and realized I just traveled through an electrical outlet. "Awesome!" I said a little bit too loud. I heard a groan and looked up to see Jacob looking at me in his PJs. "What are you doing in here?" He asked rubbing his eyes. "Oh, uh nothing just came in to check on my friend but I will have to see you later so bye." I hurry and said trying to avoid his questioning.
