Chappy 6 - Club Room Make Over

It's been weird since i arrived school. Or to be specific, when i entered the classroom. I was always an early bird after my first day here and i always arrive even before Houtarou-kun does. And whenever i arrive, usually i get surrounded my three certain girls with eyes set to kill.

But this time, nobody surrounded me.

Nobody bad mouthed me. Though i got glares but still, it's not the same not hearing hates from Houtarou-kun's fan club. Yeah, i noticed he had a fan club and so as Satoshi-kun. But right now, neither their supporters went to me.

It might be new to me but i think it's better this way. I don't want to spend my whole school year being bullied now, do i?

Slowly, the room was getting crowded as my other classmates came in and greeted their good morning's to each other as well as to me. I watched them chat with their group of friends and just when i decided to read a small book i found in my room while i was cleaning, the door opened rather loudly making heads turn towards its way.

He didn't mind the stares he got though but instead, he just walked towards his chair casually. Dropped his bag and sat down. I shook my head and let out a small chuckle. He can be weird sometimes, that's a fact i know.

I flipped through the pages of my book when suddenly two large hands engulfed my head gently, i had a hard time to look at who it was but then i remembered Houtarou-kun was my only seat mate. He moved my head from left to right then finally let go. Probably checking if my head is already fine. He could've just asked me though.

"I'm perfectly fine now." I said, flashing him a reassuring smile. He just stared and gave me a nod.

On the corner of my eyes, i saw the three girls scowl at me with their glares which i chose to ignore. The class went by in an unussual way. It was peaceful for me and now i'm beggining to become curious.

"Chii-chan! I'm glad you're okay now!" Mayaka-chan greeted me with a warm hug. I nodded once we released each other. Both Satoshi-kun and her came in together.

"Yeah, it was just something minor. Luckily, it didn't lead to a concussion." I said, while making tea for everyone.

"By the way, do you guys like to at least do a little make over for this club room? You know... put up some book shelf and stuff so students could visit here and borrow some of our classic books." Satoshi-kun suggested. I placed the tray on the table and served the fresh baked cookies. So far, only the small kitchen looks presentable in this clubroom and i'd really like this place to be somewhere we can be comfortable after tiring activities in our class.

"That'd be great! Since we don't have books in here yet, i plan on asking mom and dad for new one's from outside of the country. That'll be a unique factor for us." I added in which they agreed upon.

"What if, we use the other empty room beside this where they could sit and read. We could also serve them tea. And we just rent the books if they want to bring it home, since you know the books are new and special." Mayaka-chan suggested which made me smile. It was a great idea. We could use the money for funds and even outings. Or other renovations when needed.

"That's perfect!" I agreed.

"What do you think Houtarou?" Satoshi-kun asked, turning to Houtarou-kun who was silent as we discussed some changes to be done.

"Fine with me."

"Yosh! This will be a headstart for us!"

After classes, we spent the whole afternoon cleaning. Well, except for Houtarou-kun. He was just carrying things, not much though which annoyed Mayaka-chan all day.

I carried some unused boxes that are supposed to be outside already to clear out the room. But the heavy boxes were simply snatched from me. I looked up and was met by a pair of jade orbs, sparkling down at my violet ones.

"Oh Uhhmm.. Thank you." I stuttered. He gave me a nod and brought the boxes outside.

I've always wondered why Houtarou-kun is like that. He hates activities, just as much as he hates noise. He doesn't move much, if not he doesn't talk much to. But if he does talk, it seems like he's always like that which is clearly not.

What if i engage him with activities? Will he get tired easily? I don't think he has an illness, does he? He looks healthy to me. And fit too. There's no problem in his health. It's just him. He just needs someone to do the activities with.

What if i invite him to play. I don't really do sports that much but if it's the only way to make him active then there's no harm in trying right? We could also ride bicycle from home to school, or just ride it around the park. As long as i engage him to it.

This sounds like a plan. And maybe, Mayaka-chan and Satoshi-kun could come too.

I'll have to talk to Mayaka-chan about this later, for now.. We have a club room to clean.

Who have watched Hyouka in anime? As you all know, Hyouka is a Mystery Genre too. They figure out mysteries; Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie books are mentioned in this anime.

And guess what? I downloaded the pdf of the whole book collection of Agatha Christie and i'm excited to read "And then there were none" and "The ABC Murders"! Woop Woop!

I also have the complete collection of Sherlock Holmes and i finished 3 books.

Anyways, what do you think about this chapter? Ugh. This is so slow but i odn't want to delete this. So, read and vote for me to continue okay?
