Annabelle lead me down the halls, into the Vivam's quarters. "My brother, he is in Vivam?" I question. Annabelle nodded.
"When Professor Connell brung him here, he was tested and placed in Vivam."
"Professor Connell?"
"You'll see him when you're determined into a sector."
I nod.
We stop at the end of a hall, in front of a set of double doors. They seemed to be glowing in the color of gold. The Vivam symbol was shown boldly over both doors, in a holographic looking way.
"This is Jacob's office," She says, pushing my wheelchair closer to the door. She knocked, the doors flying open.
In a desk, sat a man in his twenties with flowing blonde hair that covered his forehead. He had hazel eyes the sparked with curiousity. He surely did not look like me. I had long, braided dark brown hair and stern gold eyes. My complexion was pale, as his was tan.
"Hello little sister." He called out. His voice was smooth. "What happened to you?" He was studying the wheelchair.
"Training," I croaked. "Guy named William knocked me out in a fist fight tournament."
He slowly nodded as Annabelle left us. "You have grown, you're a very pretty girl now." He complimented, as he smiled at me. I wheeled myself closer to his desk.
"Why didn't you come back?"
"I love it here!" He said, spreading out his arms and spinning around in his chair.
"I understand that, but you never kept contact." He frowned. "I couldn't. I couldn't interfere with my past life. I wanted to, trust me, Alana, but I couldn't." I nodded. "So, you're in Vivam?" I questioned. "Yes! Yes! I am one of the counselors, in fact." He said I triumph. "I hope you can join this sector, more brother-sister bonding time, since we lost years of that." He said, I wheeled myself beside him. "So how long will you be in that wheelchair?"
"Maybe for an hour or so. It's not like I lost a limb."
He chuckled. "Anyways, you have the Liber De Morte, mom gave you it right?" I nodded. "Tucked under my clothes, in my bag."
"Good. So, how is your stay so far?" He asked. "Okay. Other than being knocked out by a jockey." Jacob smiled. "So hilarious, little sister!"
We ate our food, chatting up small talk. How our lives have been, interests, etc. Soon enough, it was time for me to go.

The week flew by fast. Basic training such as sword fighting, archery, stamina, and other stuff was taught. In the classroom, loads of information and history was taught-- Mainly survival and random subjects, like finding the radius of a cylinder (which I do not know why it was taught to us, it merely has no relation to anything in the Intrepidus Headquarters).
I sat beside Annabelle at one of the Letalis tables in the cafeteria, eating bread and soup. "So, today's your final test, huh?" She questioned. I nodded. "Starts at 7:00PM."
She nudges me. "Try to get into Letalis. Vivam's a bore."
"How about... How about Statarius?" I questioned. "That's just about impossible to get into. But you may have the capability to."
That was just fine. I honestly didn't want to be in Statarius, since there just may be two annoying boys in that sector that I would have to spend a lot of time with. But Statarius is both Vivam and Letalis together. It means balance in Latin. Which is probably why the people in that sector are both great warriors and people interested in education.
When I finished my soup, I walked to one of the Vivam tables, where Aaron sat. I haven't spoken to him since my arrival. "Hey," I said, as I sat next to Aaron, who was reading something. He shut the book, and the title read, Human Biology. "Hi Alana." He flashed a smile. "How's your training?"
"Good. Tonight is my final test."
He nodded. "Good luck. I hope you're placed in the sector you want."
That I was not sure of. If I were placed in Vivam, I would be locked away in my bedroom reading and collecting information, no physical activities. If I was placed in Letalis I would train and train, careless about intellect. Statarius would be a great sector to be in, focusing on training and intellect-- which does make the best leaders. But Carter is in that sector. Whatever sector I am placed in, I hope that it will fit me right.
