I woke up from the beeping of an alarm clock. Groaning and turning over, I slammed my hand on the clock, which shut it up.

After a few minutes of laying there, I got up, grabbed a tank top and jeans. I took a shower in hot, burning water.

I walk to the cafeteria. Annabelle and Ethan wait for me at a table. Everyone who sat there wore the Letalis symbol somewhere on their clothing. I grabbed some food and sat beside Annabelle. "Morning." I murmured to Annabelle, looking up. Carter sat at an vacant table with one other person. I nudge Annabelle. "Why is that table so empty?" I question. She looked up, looking at the table. "The sectors eat at different tables. That's the Statarius table." Carter was in Statarius. Unbelievable. That jerk was both a warrior and intelligent?

The other person in the table wasn't the girl he was talking to yesterday. It a boy, raven hair swept to the side with somewhat golden eyes. He had a smirk on his face as he ate. "Who are they?" I ask. "Carter Boudreaux and Austin Madison." Ethan replied.

I soon finish. "Annabelle, where do I go?"

She quickly stands up, leading me down the halls.

She leads me into a classroom. "You have to learn about stuff before you can train." She says, shivering. "I hate classrooms." She mutters, then leaves.

Eventually, a dozen other people arrive. Some are teenagers at my age, others are children. A girl with light brown hair, pure brown eyes, and a grin sat beside me. "Hi," She says to catch my attention. "I'm Odette Terry." I smile kindly. "Alana Easton."

A man with round rimmed glasses, a pale complexion, thin brown hair, and blue eyes entered the room. "Hello. I am John Wright, and I'll be teaching you about our History."

John went around, asking for names. He reached me. "Alana Easton." His eyebrows raise. "Interesting, Miss Easton." He smiled and walked away to the next person. He began with a lecture of how the Intrepidus Headquarters began. He quickly went into famous ancestry. The most important.

"First there was Angelina Revesque, she received a ring, Orbis Miracula from the angel of promise. The ring caused miracles to anyone she touched." The projector showed a beautiful golden ring with beautiful carats of silver. "Second, Sarah Paine. She received a crown, Corona Intelligentia from the angel of knowledge. She had shown that she used her knowledge for good and with wisdom. Whoever placed the crown upon their head received the information they wanted to know."

"Third, there was James Boudreaux." I roll my eyes at the last name Boudreaux. "He received a sword, the Gladius Virtus, from the angel of courage. He was the most fearless man alive at the time. The very sword was given to James, who slayed several who opposed goodness."

"Lastly, Madaline Easton." My eyes widen. "Now, she is the most surprising. The very woman who fell in love with the Grim Reaper, the angel of death. She recieved a book. A book of the dead, the Liber De Morte. It granted spells and so much more."

After two hours of lecturing, I was given combat boots. "Now begins the training portion." John said, leading us to the training center.

The room was absolutely huge. Targets, dummies, everything. Guns were placed on the table. Swords and bows. Daggers.

A muscular, lean man stood in the center of the room. His hair was styled with a buzz cut, wrinkles at his eyes that shows character. His stern dark eyes focused on us. "So you're the group here for training," He said in a low, strong voice. "The name's Randy. Randy Armstrong." He studied us. "Don't look that athletic to me. Any of you used a weapon before?"
