She finally took a glance at the scratched mirror in front of her, not being able to recognize the girl she saw. She would analyze every feature, and every detail of this girl's anatomy, but nothing about her resembled who she once knew.

She hasn't seen her own reflection in weeks, but what has felt like years. This reflection of an unknown person had knotted hair, dull eyes, chapped lips, dry skin, and the look of pain never once leaving her bloodshot eyes.

She continued to stare at this reflection and think, "This can't possibly be me." She assured herself this over and over, trying to convince herself that her mind was hallucinating.

Until she had to face reality that the broken girl that she was currently staring at, is herself.
