The continous sound of Mara's stomach rumbling made me chuckle a bit. How can someone be this adorable? She looks so cute with her embarrassed face. Get yourself together and ask her the reason she is here. Tyler my wolf had a point because this place isn't for the pack members.
Was she trying to run away from home? Why is she here? Did someone bully her again? That made me growl loudly and I instantly regretted it because Mara shook her head in fear. The look in her eyes made me want to hug her.
She looked so frightened and scared like I was going to kill her. "Howl" Tyler whimpered in pain. It hurts our heart to see my mate so afraid of us. I step backword to show that I mean no harm. After what seem like two minutes she called down.
"What are you doing here" I asked
"What? Am I not allowed to go for a run?" She reliped harshly.
"N-No. It's just too far away from the pack house"
"Whatever, I would just leave then"
"Wait!!" I don't know what came upon me but I felt like I needed to explain myself to her
"Xander?" The way she said my name in a hopeful yet suspicious manner made me want to drop down on my knees.
"Nothing" I murmured.
* * * * * * * * * * * *
"Xander?" The sound of my mother's voiced reached my ears and I immediately removed my face from the soft comforting object called a pillow.
"Meeting in 5 minutes get ready honey" she said as she closed the door.
Walking down the stairs to see my mom, dad, his beta(Leon) and my brother(David). "Is everything okay?" I asked cautiously. Did they find out about the rejection?
"Son sit down" my dad said. The look on my mom's face showed that she was annoyed at my dad but anyone could see the love and respect she has for him. I suddenly wish I never rejected my mate and I hope my parents never find out about it.
"You know that you are about to be the alpha soon and well it is impossible to give you the title without some sort of challenge and mission to complete. You have received the mission before but it seems like you don't really care. Your mission is due next 3 month and I hope you would be able to accomplish the challenge. If you fail to achieve success then I would continue to be alpha until your brother is old enough or until you come back to your sense."
"Yes father" I reliped sternly. You might wonder why the tough and formal manner. My father is the type of person that wouldn't think twice to snap someone's neck when they don't listen. He is a very loving person and doesn't get pissed easily but when he is having a serious conversation one shouldn't interrupt or misbehave. The only person that can tease my dad and get away with it is my mom.
"Good"
"Ummm isn't there some kind of hints for the location on how to find the white wolf pack?" I asked nervously.
"No you, your beta and delta have to work together to find it" he reliped with his eyes twinkling with amusement.
Groaning lowly I stood up and went straight to my room to think and relax.
AN Happy New Year guys!! I wasn't suppose to update today cause I felt really sick but that would have been irresponsible of me to do. I have loads of plan for this book so it would take longer than I expected.^_^ -Yuki
