~lake house~

Alexa drags me to around the house, towards the woods. Oh, I remember the woods, the place shawn and I first met. He strummed his guitar and I wrote my poems. We fell in love as the stars shone...(cheesy af)

Alexa takes me to where the stream is, the large clearing breathtakingly beautiful.

My breath hitches in my throat at the scene before me. The circle of trees filled with fairy lights, beautifully contrasting against the sun that was about to set. Speechless, I look to Alexa. She looks shocked.

Alexa, did you plan this?

I swear to Jerry I didn't

Then who did?

She points and smirks. From behind the biggest tree, the one Shawn and I carved our names into, came Nash, Hayes, Cameron, Justin (Bieber) and finally Matthew, who was carrying the most beautifully fluffy puppy I had ever seen.

Lastly out came Shawn, strumming his guitar. Tears were cascading down my face, making my vision blurry. I wiped them away as much as I could.

He started singing James Arthur's Say You Won't
Let Go, making me cry more. At the end, he got down on one knee and smiled up at me, holding the black box with the most beautiful ring I had ever seen.

Oh my god (I whisper)

"You're the love of my life. I feel empty without you. My heart seizes whenever I see you. You make me so happy, I can barely breathe. You are the smartest, funniest and most beautiful girl I have ever met, even when you don't realise it. Please make me the happiest man on this planet by marrying me." Shawn says, a smile on his handsome face.

Oh my god! FUCK YES!
I shout, and everyone bursts into laughter.

Shawn stands up and puts the ring on my finger. I hug him for dear life and he cups my cheek, pulling me into a passionate kiss.

As we break away, my forehead on his, catching our breaths, everyone starts clapping.

Shawn picks me up by my waist and spins me around, making me giggle. He puts me down and kisses me once again.

"I love you baby girl"

I love you too, Shawn
