Chapter 10

Marinas POV:

I'm still sort of sore from the shot, but I'm battling through all of it, it's just really traumatizing to think about.

"Hey Daryl, what's up?" I asked, as I walked over to where he was.

He looked surprised to see me. "oh, hi marina! um nothing much just hanging."

"Umm....ok? Oh and thanks for giving blood to me, I guess I really needed it." I informed him, causing him to smile a little.

"You're welcome marina, I'm just doin my job" he said as he sat down next to me, he started to clear his throat.

"Hey Marina? can I tell you something?"

I looked him in the eyes, "yes Daryl?"

Daryl's POV...

I was just about to tell her what's I did, and it ain't going to be easy.

my palms were getting sweaty, and I started to shake.

"I was the one."

She tilted her head to the side in confusion. "one what?"

I gulped loudly. "Marina, I was the one who shot you"

She froze, and slowly stood up. "what?"

"Marina it was an acc-"

"How could you DARYL! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS!? CAUSE ME THIS AGONIZING PAIN?"
She shouted.

"MARINA IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!" I yelled, trying to convince her that it truly was.

"Sure DARYL sure." tears were streaming down her cheeks. "I'm sure it was"

"Marina, listen to me goddamn it! It. was. an. accident."

"How?" she asked balling her fists. "how"

I took a deep breath due to what's occurring. "it was ricochet, it hit the pole of the fence and it shot you right back." I explained. "I swear"

"You could have warned me."

I stepped closer towards her. "the bullet was fast marina." I then looked down. "too fast"

"I'm still gonna say it's your fault Daryl" and with that she sped off to her cell.

She was right.

Marina POV...

I'm in the state of shock, shot from the same side? Yeah only happens once, but this was an accident from Daryl's logic.

I then stepped in my cell, I found carl on the bunk reading a comic.

"Hey carl" I greeted in a light tone.

He looked up from his comic. "Daryl told you, right?"

I just nodded in shame. "can we just...lay in eachothers arms for a while?" I still had tears stained on my face. "please?"

He smiled his amazing smile. "of course baby, come here."

I obeyed and laid down next to him, I guess I just need to forget about the world in this moment.

"Hey marina?"

"Hmm?"

At that moment he put his soft lips on mine, I smiled, I love it when he kissed me.

He rolled over so that he was on top of me. (A/N nothing sexual is gonna happen yet sorry)

He never broke the kiss, he just continued.....until rick barged in.

"Oh my poo! CARL you better not be putting your candy cane in her gingerbread house!" he joked.

We both started laughing really hard, man I haven't laughed this hard in a LONG time!

"Dad omg I'm not doing that! not until we are old enough to drink wine!" He giggled, I'm actually having fun right now.

"Alrighty kiddos it's time for dinner" rick replied.

We got up immediately because we were hungry, we'll duh!

We all sat together, I saw Daryl sitting across from me, and that was ok because do you know what I did? I smiled at him, and he smiled back.

I smiled at him because I know he told the truth.

And I'm glad it didn't take me long to realize that.
