Soon after walking for what seemed like an eternity, I realize I'm in a fenced field for a prison, and on the other side of the fence are some of those "walker" things.

I sigh and move on.

A minute later, I see a group of about maybe 8 people come out of the prison, all of them with loads of weapons.

I stare at them, they look like they feel the same suffer as the rest, as me, not to mention I was bullied a lot by this girl I hope is dead. They look nice, I can't trust my gut, but I can trust my eyes.

I walk over to the group.

Right as I was about to speak, a man with a sheriffs uniform has his gun aimed at me.

"Who are you and what are you doing here!?" he demanded, raising his gun a little higher.

I threw my hands up. "my name is Marina Webb, and I live in a cabin up about 4 miles from here, I recently killed my father because he was a zombie and I'm just really desperate of a place to stay for a little while sir, you and your people look so kind and I just thought I could trust you to take care of me for whatever time is the best for you, please?" I explained in all honesty.

The sheriff slowly lowered his gun, and softly spoke, "we'll I guess you ca-"

"Woah woah woah rick! you can't just let a free roaming person take advantage of you!" The one guy with a crossbow barged.

Apparently the guys name is rick.

"Oh come on Daryl, she's a innocent, helpless girl, she would do no harm." Rick confronted.

Daryl didn't say anything, he just whispered something
In his ear, that I seemingly heard.

"Just lettin ya know, I may not be there when she stabs ya right in the back."

Ouch, that hurt.

"Look you guys, I see that you don't usually allow people in your place, but I promise you, I will help you, I'll help you with anything you need, and I know you don't give in, but please trust me, I won't hurt you or anything! I promise..just please..."

They all gave eachother glances, and finally rick spoke.

"Welcome to the family marina"

My face lit up, and I smiled widely. "thank you thank you thank you!!!"

I gave rick a hug, he tenses up at first, but then he hugged back.

"Your welcome sweetheart."

I grinned, "oh and I have one question, why is there so many walkers? I mean, I thought there was only a few."

Daryl scoffed at my question.

I looked up at him. "what?"

"A few? Honey, this is the apocalypse."

"So it is true" I answered. eyes widened a bit.

They all just nodded, like they knew what I was talking about.

"Anyways, let's go back in" rick offered, we obeyed.

I tiptoed into the prison, it was huge, and it seemed secure, which means no walkers in sight.

"You'll have to share a cell with carl grimes, my son" rick told me.

"Who?" I chirped.

Rick gesturally moved off to the side, there stood a boy about my age, with blueish eyes and long dark brown hair.

I gotta admit, he was really cute.

"Hey who's she?" he questioned, looking towards my direction.

"Carl, this is marina, she needs a place to stay."

"Okay? And what am I supposed to do about about it?" He spat, we'll he seems quite rude.

"Carl don't be so rude! she's apart of the family and you will treat her with respect! you understand?!" rick yelled,
He seemed like a good dad with ground rules.

He just nodded his head.

"Good" rick responded. "now lead her to your cell"

He sighed and slowly started walking to the cell.

"Well, here it is!"

Be gradually opened the gate to it and there I saw a bunk and a whole bunch of other junk.

"You like it?" he asked.

"Seems roomy, but messy." I answered.

"Deal with it"

"You know, you've got a lot of nerve to give me such lip carl! like what happened a few minutes ago! And yo-"

Before I could finish my sentence I was being pinned against the wall by him.

"And you've got a lot of nerve to tell me that marina" he whispered in my ear, sending shivers down my spine.

His body was practically touching mine.

"Looks like I'm gonna have to keep an eye on you sweetheart."

And with that, he gave me one last glare and traveled off.

As I stood there in shock.
