Chapter 14

I wake up the following morning bet to a wide awake, and fully dressed Kim. She smiles at me before handing me some clothes she picked out while I was sleeping. How long has she been up?

I shrug it off and I climb out of bed. I get dressed it the cute outfit. Kim puts the large hoop earrings in before I go to the bathroom, running into Paul when I leave my room.

"Excuse me." I smile.

I go into the bathroom and I flat iron my hair. I put it into a high ponytail  and I meet Kim in the living room. Paul smiles, I'm wearing my the beanie he bought me. Kim and I leave and we get into her car.

Port Aneles mall is full of humans, including Kim. Kim and I loop arms and we walk through each stores. I get lustful stares and envious states. I smirk as we pass them. I go to Victoria's Secret then to the other hip / cool stores in the mall.

When our shopping day is done, we drive back to my home. Bella is here, go figure. I smile as I bring my bags in. Bella helps me bring some to my room.

"Thank you." I smile.

"I know who you should date." Bella smirks. "It will get him over me."

"Oh yeah?" I smirk. "Who?"

"Jacob."

I burst out laughing. "That would be good. Maybe after the battle tomorrow."

Bella nods and she walks out of my room happily. A little too happily. Jacob sits on my bed and he plays with my stuffed cat.

"A cat?" Jacob chuckles. "Really?"

I jerk it out of his hands. "Yes, I like cats."

He surrenders before he walks out. Silly boy. I finish with my stuff and it is time for the clearing. I ride on Jacob's back to the clearing.

"Nice outfit." Alice compliments.

"Thanks. I went shopping today."

They smile and I sit beside Jacob's wolf. He licks me. I gnarl my nose.

"I'm gonna go phase." I tell everyone.

I walk into the woods far enough. I strip off these clothes and I phase. I grab my clothes with my snout and I lay down next to Sam's wolf.

Hey, Layla.

I nod my wolf head and I watch the training start. I will be with Edward and Bella, and Seth on the mountains tomorrow. I have to help defend and protect both Seth and Bella. I wish Seth were older and more experienced in this kind of thing.

I jog around the woods while the training goes on. I see a boy with red eyes in front of me. We tilt our heads in confusion before he flashes away. Is he behind the army?

I huff and I howl. Sam comes up to me and I inform him what I found through mind link. He sniffs and we smell nothing. He must have covered his scent. We go back to the clearing and Paul has finally made it. He sees me in wolf form an he lays down.

Sam and I sit side by side, in wolf form, by the trees. We watch as the Cullen's train the final day, because tomorrow is the battle against the newborn army.

I phase an change back when the training is over. I climb on Jarred's back and he brings me home. I scratch his ear before I jog inside.

"This girl will be female alpha, one day." Sam says once I enter the house.

"We all bowed down when we noticed her in wolf form." Quil comments from across the room.

Emily ignores their banter about my being a female alpha and she hugs me. Sam suddenly freezes.

"I'm gonna call Billy, give me a moment." Sam says urgently.

Emily sigh and says she is going to get to cooking. She walks away towards the kitchen to start cooking. Brody and Collin, Seth and Leah's cousins, walk in with smiles. They phased because I see the tattoo on their muscles.

Kids are even phasing. There are too many vampires around here. They are what is causing us all to phase so soon. I sigh and I go I the kitchen.

Paul smiles at me before he texts someone, probably that Rachel. I roll my eyes and I sit next to Jacob. Jacob smiles at me before handing me the sandwich he made for me. We are having home style sloppy joes.

After eating, I go back to my room. I change into some pajamas and I climb into my bed. I cuddle with my stuffed cat and I drift off to sleep.
