Chapter 17

Kim approves of my outfit of choice. I ride with her in her car back home. I walk inside and see Jacob wrestling with the young ones, like a child.

"I'm sorry, Jacob." I place my hand on his shoulders. "You're too childish for me."

He nods sadly at my breakup and he goes outside. Rachel walks in and asks me if I dumped Jacob. I nod my head and I sit beside Leah.

Rachel has Paul go outside with her to talk. I am guessing she is breaking up with him now. Embry walks in with a smug look on his face and he plops down beside me.

"They are making out, like for real?" He says angrily.

I look out the window and he's right. I smirk and I sit in his lap. Embry smirks at the door at the couple. Embry and I begin to make out. He grips the back of my shirt before pulling away.

"I take it what you told me last night was a lie, wasn't it Rachel?" I ask.

"No it wasn't." She pleads. "I was going to."

"Then do it." I demand.

Embry holds me back so I don't jump on her. Jared walks in and sees me with Embry and Rachel with Paul still. Jared gives Embry a confused look and Embry walks with Jared outside to explain.

Rachel and I have a stare down until she breaks and dumps Paul because Embry imprinted on her. Paul seems relieved to be broken up with Rachel. Rachel hugs and thanks me before going after Embry.

"I can't believe I made out with him, and I can't believe I had sex with Jacob." I mutter.

Paul chuckles. "Oh, don't beat around the bush. Do you wanna get back together?"

I smile. "Yeah, but you better do my right."

"I will, baby." He smiles. "Will you take this back and be my fiancée?" He opens the ring box that held my ring.

I smile. "Yes, I'll take the ring back."

Paul smiles and he slides the ring on my finger. He smiles and he kisses me abruptly. Once I realize what's going on, I kiss him back. I pull back and he jumps up and chants. I laugh at his craziness as he goes to rub it in.

"He is crazy over you." Kim chuckles as she sits next to me.

"I know; I have missed his ass." I smile.

Kim smiles as she watches Jared high five Paul. Men can high five, just not as constantly as Jacob and Quil. Paul sits down on the other side of me when he calms down. He apologizes to me before asking me on a date.

"Yeah." I blush.

"Hey, guys." Jacob greets. He just back from the Cullen's. "Layla, Bella is inviting you to we and Edward's wedding this weekend."

"Okay, tell her I'm bringing Paul." I demand. "It will be or first date being back together."

"I will." Jacob salutes  us.

I roll my eyes and Paul smiles over at me. He seems happier now that he is with me. Embry and Rachel are together, they are so happy. Sam and Emily are talking in the kitchen doorway. They seem to be so happily in love. They are getting married in a few months, it will be so sweet.

Emily made cheeseburgers and fries for supper tonight. Paul went home to eat with his dad and to tell him the good news about us being together again and that the wedding will be happening when we begin to plan it.

I go to my room when I finish eating. I change into some pajamas. I stretch my toes when I kick my heels off. I groan before climbing into bed. I close my eyes and I let sleep take over.
