Chapter 21

Two months later

We are all sitting around Sam's when Jacob storms in, pissed beyond extremes. I stiffen, knowing this has to do with the Cullen's because that's where he was just at.

"They are killing her!" He yells. "She is pregnant with a hybrid!"

Sam stiffens at the sound and Jacob walks out to cool down. Paul and I sigh; trouble in paradise. Edward Cullen has gotten a now Bella Cullen pregnant wth a vampire / human hybrid. It will kill her when she goes to have it.

"There is always trouble with them vampires." I complain.

"That's true." Paul mutters, holding my ringed hand.

Emily calls everyone into the kitchen for breakfast. She makes enough to feed an army, which is a good thing. I sit beside my husband and I begin to eat.

"We have to do something."

I feel a wave of nausea and I take off running to the bathroom. I had just interrupted Sam's talking. Kim holds my hair back as I let my stomach empty. My eyes widen at realization.

"Kim, can you go buy me a pregnancy test?" I whisper.

Her eyes brighten before she rushes out of the house. I walk back to the kitchen. The food hits me and I go to the living room. Kim is back and we go to the bathroom together. I pee on the small stick.

Five minutes of waiting passes and the small timer goes off. I take a deep breath and I look at the small stick that can change a life. Positive....

"You tell Paul, I'll tell the others."

Kim sends Paul to the bathroom with me.

"Baby, what's going on?" He asks as I hug him.

"I have some life changing news." I reply.

He eyes me warily. "What's going on, Layla Lahote?"

"You're gonna be a daddy; I'm pregnant." I tell him.

His jaw drops and he touches my belly. He smiles and he hugs me.

"Can we go to the cemetery so I can tell my parents?" I ask.

We get into his truck and he drives us to the cemetery in the Rez here. I walk up to my parents grave, they are Barrie's together.

"Hey, mom and dad." I smile. "I come with good news. I'm pregnant." I feel my eyes begin to water. "I wish you could meet your grandchild."

Paul and I head back to Sam's. A very aggravated Sam is there. He eyes me and I point at my belly and mouth that in pregnant. Sam hugs me then announces we are taking care of the 'thing' in Bella.

"No." I demand. "I will not."

"Then leave." Sam demands.

"The Cullen's would love my help."

I storm out and get in my new car. I speed to the Cullen's and Edward steps out. I tell him everything an he lets me in.

"Just know, you won't fight, since your pregnant. We will watch you too." He tells me.

I nod my head. Alice shrieks when she sees me and she touches my belly, she must have heard the heartbeat. She then drags me out to go shopping. She drives us to Seattle to go baby and maternity shopping.

We go into the mall and she begins. I see Paul here with Kim and Jared.

"Lil cuz." Jared hugs me. "Sam is an ass."

"Paul," Alice says. "You can come over anytime and see your wife."

Paul nods with a smile. "Thanks, Alice."

They join us in our shopping spree. Kim picks out a few things while Paul brings me to get some food. He kisses my hand wth the ring and he buys me my craving, Chinese. Paul talks to my belly the entire time in eating. The baby tells me I don't like it and I run to the nearest bathroom.

I walk back to Paul, wiping my mouth. "The baby didn't like it."

Paul chuckles before wrapping an arm around me. We find Alice and Kim and they have just finished. We drive back to Forks. I miss my husband!

Esme shows me to my room and. She rubs my belly. I go into my room and I lock myself in. I change into some pajamas. I climb into my bed and I drift off to sleep.
