Personal note:        I'm sure you're aware of every detail about Cali Rayan's attempted murder, but here's everything again. Fiona Dritt talked Joyce Maxwell into coming with her to try to kill Cali Rayan. This failed when Cali Rayan woke from the noise of a door opening and threatened them with a gun. Ms. Dritt attacked her while Rayan was distracted by Maxwell and stabbed her thigh with a knife. In retaliation Rayan stabbed her in the back, without piercing a lung. Ms. Dritt should have been expelled, but wasn't because of her father tugging at every string he had, until the King had to make sure Ms. Dritt stayed at the Academy. I wouldn't say Ms. Dritt is well of, though. People act as if she doesn't exist, something I find a good strategy.

After Cali Rayan recovered from her wound she started to train even harder.

I really do not understand the relationship between Roan Thorn and Cali Rayan. They do not hate each other, as Thorn proved by coming to her help that evening and informing how she was while  recovering, but they do absolutely not like each other.

Thanks for sending soldiers to Jarran, Meladora. I understand you had to pull strings to get that. And I'm happy it hasn't turned into a ghost town yet.

Did you know that Cali Rayan descends from that famous singer from before the war, Melody Rayan? I didn't. It really surprised me. Mostly because Cali Rayan can't sing at all.

Ella MacLean is her new enemy. I believe because of Thorn, although I do not understand why. I'm sure you, as a woman, do know, though.
