Personal note: Did you know that Cali Rayan regularly climbs the Daqu Wall to just sit atop of it? And not only on Sundays. It happens at least two times a week.
Mrs. Carter said it started about three months ago. She sees it once in a while.
You know that it is forbidden to leave the school grounds in the week, so she has been sneaking out. Quite impressive, really. Carter came to me three days ago. You can't find her on any camera and none of the guards have ever seen her. You have to know what you're looking for.
She sneaks out by one of the windows of the third floor and climbs to the side where she jumps to the wall surrounding the school. She climbs down and then 'poof', gone.
Really, really remarkable.
I didn't call her on it. But I'll do it if you think I should. I leave the decision up to you.
Nothing new about school. Except the fact that she broke Fiona Dritt's nose. Again. The girl did call for it, though. But I may be prejudiced.
She can't swim. Did you know that? Which is the reason she isn't the top of military training anymore. She's picking it up fast, though. Even most of the Center-villagers don't know how to swim, even with all the water there.
The death of Julian Margot has gotten the class a bit down again, but she always manages to make the mood lighter, somehow. I saw you at the notification book. You wrote a Death' Prayer down too, didn't you? Twelve pages yesterday.
Quite impressive.
Leland Mark, teacher in military tactics and Head of class C.
